Calm down, it's too early in the season...

Yes, the Commanders were the better team today. But it's only week 4 and I don't think anybody was expecting us to go undefeated.

We all know games against the Commanders are tough. It doesn't matter how good each team is, anyone can win. The year Dallas went 1-15 our only win came vs. the Commanders and they won the SB. It would be hard to argue Dallas was better than the Commanders that year.

I am worried about Newman though. 2 of the TDs were his fault, and he was also beat for a long gain by Moss. I don't think Newman is overrated, but there's something wrong with him.. because he played really bad today. Maybe the injury still bothers him or something... This is not the same Newman I've seen the past few years...

Gee...you know what? Teams miss the playoffs because of an early season loss.

Save the "It's too early speeches". We hear that every year.

yeah it's still early in the season but some of the things from today was the same stuff they where doing last year in our losses so it's obvious these guys don't learn from their mistakes, like playing 15 yards of the receivers and poor tackling. and i'm pretty sure once Wade's PC comes on he'll be in his usual state of denial :banghead:

Oh really like last year when we went 11-1? I guess u like being crowned September and October champions.

It's never too early to get upset when your team comes out flat for a big game. It's kind of the same thing we've been doing in the playoffs the last two years running, so I'd say it's a problem.

that's all we'll ever be unless wade and co start learning from their mistakes but seeing as it was a lot of the same stuff the cost us the Dec Eagles game last year it's a reach to think he can

I said TEAMS....not us. It doesn't change the fact that MANY teams have missed the playoffs by ONE game.....EVERY game matters in the NFL.

Yes it is early but we have the talent to handle the Skins with ease and this was a huge disappointment. Hopefull this will be a wake-up call for our guys. We can't win week after week just by showing up.

I did think we were seriously outcoached today and the players were not real motivated.

The last Skins game at home and not motivated?????? Give me a damn break.

The optimist in me says this: Every team loses games, and they can be good for a team. Maybe this will be that for us. You would think, if this team has any balls at all, there's NO WAY they don't beat Cincy by 30 next week.

But the realist in me thinks this: Making the playoffs is no gimme in this division. We might go undefeated against every non-NFC East team and STILL miss the playoffs. So every loss is concerning. Secondly, we demonstrated many of the same traits today that has made us a playoff pushover the last few years. I'm not sure these traits will go away. They always pop up.

A loss is one thing. Our losses, oftentimes, blend together though and look alike.

I agree, that's why I think this loss is not such a bad thing. Wade was going to keep the same defensive scheme forever, unless something happened. This was a wake up call, and we have plenty of time to correct it.

We beat the Giants twice last year, and they still won the SB. Don't you think their fans were frustrated about those losses? At the end of the day it didn't matter. The 4th quarter of their playoff game against us was more important than those two losses.

Bull.

This game was important. A home divisional game in a division that anyone can win.

Don't start believing the media when it comes to the "unstoppable" Dallas Cowboys. No team is as good or as bad as people claim. This team will never make the Super Bowl unless it corrects the many problems that plague this team.

Poor defensive play. Garbage offensive playingcalling. Horrible game costing penalties.

Poor coaching.

This isn't the 1995 Dallas Cowboys...this team isn't good enough to go the whole way on talent alone.

Our defensive scheme is worrisome. We've got as much talent on our D as any team in this league yet they've looked mediocre or worse more often than not. (They have had their moments -- first quarter this week, most of the game last week.)

I'm no worrywart. I take these things pretty calmly but they really do need some adjustments and quick.

Obviously it is early in the season but all the same struggles this team had last year appear to have carried over into this season. Penalties, TOs, Bad Playcalling soft coverages, missed tackles.

Good post. I am so pissed off, I can't tell you how much. This was a wasted game. At home against a division rival? Come on. The coaching sucked. The players sucked. I know it's early, but did you see the Skins celebrating in their locker room? THIS WAS AN IMPORTANT GAME! The Commanders get it. How come the Cowboys don't?

Its a bad loss, but I hope that they learn and change their attitude in December. We need the team to be firing on all cylinders going at the end of the Season.

This is why we are call September's Champs.

Wait a second. As much as I agree that we need some changes, losing early in the season, in September, can't be evidence for why we're called 'September's champs'. In fact, today was a pretty good start toward not being known as that.
