helping the inside match the outside desire.

i wrote that long ago when i was ... oh hell i don't even know anymore but we sure could use some leadership like this these days. but what is our problem? why do we fall when we need to fly?

here's where i put this.

wade.

then garrett.

every time we have a blown assignment, or a bad loss, here comes wade to say "now now, these are good guys and we'll get it turned around...everything will be ok..."

when jimmy was here, he'd be throwing people off the plane on the way home and screaming FALSE START THAT ******!.

simply put...there is no "fear of failure" on the team. we fail, wade says it's ok. and for a coach in waiting, garrett isn't changing that mindset. so as long as wade baby's everyone and wants to be their friend, that's not what we need right now and as long as we have that mindset, we'll have players out there screwing up because they know if they do, "it's ok... it will all be ok".

no. it won't. it's not ok to keep losing and it's not ok to keep excusing it away because it's easier than dealing with it. this won't get better on its own and romo in my mind has come a long way this year in his leadership skills.

but failure today has no cost. no run 10,000 laps after practice for every foul you committed. no fine for fumbles and no sense of urgency to be more than we are today.

why? cause what we are today is fine and it will be ok. as long as that's what we hear we'll keep waiting for it to be that. but as long as we have that leadership mentality, this is all we'll ever be. i think the players have taken it as far as they can on their own.

No accountability basically. What we should do is bench guys for 2-3 series for dropping passes, fumbling, missing tackles, getting burned deep, etc.

Rotate everybody on the roster until you find players that are hot in each position.

Example: Barbie gets run over or whiffs on a tackle replace him with Butler or Octavien.

Crayton drops a pass or doesn't complete his route put Ogletree in the slot.

Barber fumbles sit him down and get Choice in there.

Rocket science I know....

that's just it. wade tells them it's ok, it'll be all right. but as far as i know there is no "price" to pay to help encourage that mindset. i'm not saying you have to be parcells or jimmy but you have to be more than a safety net for when you fall.

you have to make them WANT to get better by demanding more from them.

wade will never do that.

I get the kick out of Wade is enabler threads and he is the reason for failure. What happened when BP was here? Everyone forget how they laid down to what was then 2-14 team Lions and where beaten like a drum?

Someone making coaching changes everyone seems to think will change the result. You guys realize the guy who runs this circus will not change and he is the only constant in all these failures. And he is hard headed as they come and he wont change.

So I guess we can keep hoping one day he will luck into a good coach. I just don't have any faith in him. Jerry didn't get where he is by not trying to prove people wrong or being hard headed. Which is also the downfall currently for cowboys. I just hope one day Cowboys will luck into a good coach.

just listen in to Mike Tomlin's presser from today and you will see a coach determined to weed out the players who are not cutting it.

Wade is walking on egg shells, he's not going to yank a player based on his game performance knowing that Jerry wont let him

I wanted them to sit Baber for awhile yesterday for that fumble, but then I think about Romo's costly pics and wonder
