Would look good with a star on his helmet when ever he comes out.

how is his speed?

Not exactly sure about his speed but his hand eye coordination is sick. Everytime I see him he impresses me at least once a game with an otherworldly catch with a sick degree of difficulty.

Hey, while we're at it, let's grab Brady Quinn and Adrian Peterson, too.

We should shut down this thread before the rest of the league figures out that he's good.

From now we'll only refer to him as Alvin-Cay Ohnson-Jay.

I am not sure that some of GT's competition would qualify either.

Why? they play in the ACC. They dont have a schedule any weaker than WVU's or a bunch of other teams for that matter.

Georgia Tech plays Georgia annually, is in the ACC, along with Florida State and Miami, and opened the season with Notre Dame. It's not as if Calvin Johnson was playing D III competition.

Oh yeah, and that Chan Gailey guy is the coach there.

Calvin Johnson is scary good and the only reason he doesn't get more pub than he already does is because his QB is crappy (Reggie Ball) and his Coach is even worse (Chan Gailey......yes, that Chan Gailey). If he can avoid injuries, CJ will be a Star in this league for years to come.

P.S. We can only hope that Heavy keeps that as his sig for the entire season, taking care to update it every week. Will be real fun to look at after T+1.

He would have gotten more pub is he had hung on to that deep pass against ND.

......and he would have gotten even more pub had Gailey/Ball ignored that one drop and kept throwing to him when it was clear that the Irish had no answer for him whatsoever. He had 7 catches for 111 yards and the only Yellowjackets Touchdown of the game while he should have had at least double that in every single category.

I'm not saying he is perfect but then again nobody in College is. Hell, going into last Saturday, Brady Quinn was the Heisman Front-runner, the probable #1 pick in the NFL draft, and basically the Second Coming of our Lord & Savior if you believed ESPN. One Nationally-Televised Beatdown later, not so much.
