I saw that while preparing for the combine he ran a 4.33/40..
Thats would be an awsome feat for this guy who is 6'4 and 235 lbs..

too bad it is immposible for Dallas to even get a sniff of this guy

He has a 45 inch vertical and played with one of the worst passing QBs in college football. He'll be gone before the 5th pick.

Yeah , I know he will but a 4.33 for a guy with that size and those hands are incredible ..

that is why I posted because it blew me away...

I have no realistic expectations of this guy comming to Big D

i actually go to GA Tech and was able to watch him play in person and he is a sooo big you really cant imagine. Hell he looks big without the pads on. Whats scary about Johnson is he will only get better. He really is a quality person who is humble by nature. He would have had better stats but Chan Gaily decided not to call plays this season and he had running QB that couldnt throw. I mean there were games that he didnt have one pass directed his way!

As a GA Tech fan I hope Tampa does not draft him because he will not thrive in that offense with no QB.

I actually see him going to Detroit. I know I know about the whole first round receiver bust they have experienced but Calvin is different. With the fast track at the combine he very well could run in the high 4.2 range and he will wow them with his leaping ability and moreso his attitude.

He is the best player in the draft and whatever team lets him slip will be sorry. Including Detroit.

he's one of the few players ever that i before seeing them in the NFL think will be a HOF player without a doubt. the guy is just that good!!! and i will be disapointed if he doesnt turn out to be one unless he goes to a rival of course ;)

He reminds me of the WR version of Vince Young

I think Tampa Bay will end up drafting Johnson, but you never know with Matt Millen, as the GM of the Lions.

Kiper has 6 WR's getting taken in the first 25 picks. Is this class that good? I'd gladly take Johnson, Ginn, Jarrett, Bowe, Meachem, or Rice on my team anyday.

I hate to miss out on him but that just means that we may still have a shot at Jarrett. The more WRs that are picked ahead of him the better our chances that he will fall to us.

Reggie Ball was by far the worst College QB I've ever seen. Couldnt hit an open receiver to save his life. He was mobile and has a good arm but at 5'9 (MAYBE), there was no way he could see all 6'5 of Calvin Johnson anyway.

Chan Gailey should have won the "What was he thinking" award for how he used Calvin Johnson this year w/ that bum Ball at QB.

Very true. I agree Johnson is the class of the field but there are some very good WR coming out this year and I hope Dallas is able to get one.

i'm assuming your talking about their similar frame.

yes, but not just their frame, but the way they can dominate games by themselves. Only problem with Calvin is if nobody throws him the damn ball he cant dominate game unfortunatly

Exactly. I simply didnt understand Gaily this season with him and I really think he is a good coach. But this has to rank of there as one of his worst coaching jobs of all time. He gave up play calling duties and they lost a couple of games based on play calls. He sacrificed going with a senior qb who couldnt throw instead of a younger qb with more accuracy and size.

Ball was a great scrambler but a horrible passer. Randy Moss who have been livid but Calvin simply ran back to the huddle and ran the next play. I would love to see him in a Cowboy uniform with Romo.

I saw one or two of those games on TV. Very very odd. It was like having Superman lined up at WR and his team not using him.

I guess if there is a small flaw in his armor, it would be that this physically gifted talent was somehow transformed into a nonfactor in more than a couple of games.

Don't get me wrong. I'd draft him in a heartbeat.

Dont get me wrong....teams knew Johnson was on the field and he was double covered on pretty much every play. But they really didnt have a QB who could get him the ball when he was covered and they didnt have the oline that gave him time. Johnson earned all his stats this season and many of his catches were simply outstanding plays by him. He is beyond a beast and a straight out monster. He will clearly have a Randy Moss rookie season and there will be nothing teams can do about it!

Calvin Johnson will be long gone... I think he's going to be an amazing player! However I do like Bowe from LSU.
