Calvin Riddley? Do we want a WR at our first pick?

Frankly DJ Chark would be a better WR and then maybe Eqanmieous St. Brown, Chark would take Williams spot and St. Brown take Butler spot.
Agree. I like Chark, Gallup, and Brown. I think Chark is a guy that oozes confidence and has a knack for catching the ball and then making "yac" yards. Right now we lack a guy to do that unless someone emerges in camp.Noah Brown has a chance to be really good if he has another good camp...and the sky is the limit with Switzer. Give me Chark or lets go sign Paul Richardson in free agency. With Richard here already,I think we may be able to pry a Seattle guy or two away.

At the senior Bowl it was Chark and then a HUGE drop off to find another wideout that came close to his production.

Alabama player....NOOOOOO

rarely do one of them produce in the NFL at a high level...I am guessing because there are, you know, rules in the NFL and, you know, drug testing.....
Yes and no...Julio Jones is pretty good lol...what about Derrick Henry? He had a nice year.Dareus..the DT from Bama had a great year.On the other hand,I agree with you and think Ridley is a buyer beware big time. He was knicked up ..and he does drop passes, not the fastest guy...his routes are decent, but the point is he may have already hit his peak. I rather go Chark than draft high on Ridley at 19. Chark can be had in round 2 or later..a great impact player and value. Im a bit like you..Bama players seem like they are a product of scheme and tend to have already maxed out. So I have mixed feelings on it.

Nothing about Ridley reminds me of Julio Jones. He reminds me more of an Isaac Bruce.

his speed quickness and routes remind me of a OBJ. OBJ dropped too because of his 5'11" size.

He and Kirk are the two most likely to come in and help right away.

He doesn't have the quickness of the other two. Nor the hands. Without that quickness he is not going to get open as easily. With the learning curve of the offense and technique, I see him taking time.

Hes faster than TWill but would not start over him.

Yeah, the 190 part really bothers me.

I just looked it up for comparison - Beasley and Switzer are both about 180 (bigger than I thought) and run a 4.5 flat, and you wouldn't dream of playing them outside. Ridley's a lot taller than both, but he still needs to run well at the Combine to cement his draft stock. A 4.5 at 6'1" 190 would be really bad look.
Switzer can play outside, he lined up there in camp before his hamstrings gave him problems.

That being said I understand what you mean. He is mainly for the slot but Switzer can line up outside

Pretty lackluster WR crop this year.

If not Ridley or Kirk, I pass in rd 1.

Neither of those guys gets me as excited as the defensive players that will be available.

I like kirk but only ridley is worth a 1 imo.

I'm not as high on Chark as a lot of you guys. He seems to be more of a body catcher. I'd rather take Deontay Burnett in the 3rd or 4th. Preferably 4th. Maybe have to take him in the 3rd after he runs at the combine.

I have a feeling we want a WR more than the team does.

Rightfully so.

I think saying the "WR's suck" is the easy out. People are failing to mention the injuries we took on the OL, Dez playing injured and Dak's sophomore struggles.

IF we get everyone healthy, and Zeke's on the field, I think the passing game will be fun.

you only take him at 19 if you know you are cutting Dez in june..hes solid wr with some speed but hes not the shifty burner i believe this offense needs..he would be a future replacement for Dez at X but id like a WR similar to Tyreke Hill...I believe you take the bEST Defensive guy at 19 someone like Vea, Rsmith or hurstand than look for a wr first check his speed than hands and than route running..he can learn the latter two later but if he can run9 routes and take the top off defenses 2 times a game for big gains or Tds and run a few jet sweeps or quick wr screens , that's who we need..more of what can we ADD to what we have..ridleys not that guy..theres some players coming in this draft that may not be as well known but can fit this mold..

Let's not get carried away.

I do not buy that Bryant's injury situation affected things to the point where he looked like a complete bum, especially with everything on the line against Seattle. I also don't think that Prescott's natural "slump" was that.

This team has real problems at the position. My point was that I don't think the staff realizes the problems the scheme has getting these players separation. There needs to be talent added somehow.

But that is not going to be enough if they don't attack the issue on both fronts, scheme and talent.

Have you seen Daks number with a healthy line vs without? It's pretty significant...

Agreed Dez has to be better, but he wasn't 100% and there was a disconnect with him and Dak.

Denver was case and point - I went back and watched every target and he should've had 100 yards with a score against arguably the best CB group in football but there were several misthrows.

We need to get healthy, and both Dak and Dez need to step up. I'm spreading the blame.
