All we heard about was how bad the dude was and how we would never want him in the game. Was banged up early but ever since taking over at LT he’s been rock solid. Besides that one penalty today we never heard a peep. Good on him and glad we are better at grabbing swing tackles now than in the Chaz days.

I'll hold off on giving him much praise until after the Thanksgiving game. If he can keep the Commanders' pass rushers at bay, he'll deserve some accolades.

I think his early sucking was due to fitness, few weeks off with injury and work out schedule has made him fitter , my guess.

yes the usuals ragged on him during TC and to start the year. You know after a few plays.

Because you're stupid, Erving! Because you're a cripple!!

I'll cop to having written him off - and being completely wrong about him. He's done a great job filling in at left tackle.

I wrote Erving off too, but he's getting overhyped now. He's ok. Not horrible. The whole oline has improved. CWilliams is playing well. Looney is back. McGovern is competent and stout. Probably today, Erving was still our worst olineman.

Per PFF, better than previous seasons, but nothing to be impressed with. Our standards have just gotten so low with all the previous poor play and Steele as the comparison.

I'd rather have Knight, and expect Knight takes over at LT if they keep Martin at RT.

He has sucked since he got here. Two solid games is a good start.

Exactly why I want nothing to do with drafting "Tyron's replacement" with a high draft pick. Brandon Knight was serviceable. Cam Fleming is serviceable. You can get by with a solid/non All-Pro LT, especially when the team already has a lot invested in the other offensive positions.

You can't say the same on defense because when you're missing a good DB or DL, it's hard for the Cam Fleming equivalent on defense to fill in and have any impact. Invest in the defense!

Did people think he was bad? I thought they brought him in to be the swing tackle?
Too many fans listen to the media especially “ talking Cowboys” etc. They ragged on him all offseason. They never know what they’re talking about on those shows.

I agree but wouldn’t mind hitting OT with that 3rd round comp pick.
