He could have a good season. But last season before the injury, he really didn't look like he was off to having one in 2024. Why would he pick up where he left off in 2023 versus where he was in 2024 before the injury?

I remember the general atmosphere on this board before the injury, where even one of his most 'staunch' supporters turned against him. Generally, people were unhappy and vocal on here. Ironically, getting injured was a saving grace to his reputation. Everyone, just forgot the 3-5 record, and went on saying Dak could've done better that Rush, conveniently.

Yup, if he plays anywhere near the hype. It is still 2-3 years away from now. Dallas needs to save draft capital from here on out and be prepared to move up if need be.

Then you add on all the other Dead Cap hits and we will be up and over $80M.

You must be assuming Trance 2.0, will be taking over as QB.

Milton's contract basically mirrors Dak's. Either way, if he is the starter, he will be demanding a new contract.

Not at all.....I'm saying Jerry could use a high 2027 draft pick to find Dak's replacement, especially if Milton hasn't shown enough.

I know the no-trade clause meant nothing last time either. It means nothing, that is why everyone has it in their contract, oh wait, they don't.

Why would I want to be traded to a team that has to give up picks and make my new team worse. I would rather be cut by my current team, get paid what is owed to me, then get paid again with my new contract, while keeping all my draft picks for my new team.

There is absolutely no reason, zero, for Dak to waive the no trade clause. I know go ahead and try saying they will bench him and force him to demand a trade. Good luck with that.

What makes you think we will have a high draft pick? We had our best shot at a high draft pick this last season and GM Jethro screwed it up.

You think we will be worse this year after adding Pickens and most likely being more healthy?

I disagree with Newton. Dak is safe and will play for the Cowboys thru 2027.
Dak has had so many prove it years that he has failed and yet the blame goes elsewhere. Dak is like a cat with 9 lives and just when you think his time is up Jerry somehow convinces the fans he has suddenly gotten Dak help.
And as much as I would love to see Dallas draft Arch Manning. Dak will win just enough games to make that impossible. He's been doing that his whole career to Dallas. Just good enough to ruin draft position.
Dak should of been let go after his rookie contract. Hurts was there in the draft as a replacement.
