They recently polled some GM's and scouts and Sanders was widely considered the #1 QB.

That surprised me and there's still some time.

Ward is a competitive son of a ..betcha thought I was going to cuss.

All I know is Arch Manning is probably the #1 overall pick in 2026 and Raiola is looking like the #1 pick in 2027.

2025 may come down to a team's personal preference on a kid.

Do you think some QB-needed teams will pass on Sanders to avoid dealing with Deion? This is a question I have read more than a few times on social media.

Probably depends on Shedur himself and how he interviews
Agreed.

I also think that...Deion isn't stupid. He knows better than to act in a way that disrupts an NFL lockerroom, and he knows that college and the NFL are different beasts. It wouldn't surprise me if he stays out of the way in the NFL.

you are making the assumption that he CAN stay away, and I doubt his ego will allow it

If i am GM here is what i do (you may not like it)

1. We likely have a high rd 1 pick, trade down for a mid 1 this year and a 1 next year (now we have 2 1st rd picks in 2026)

2. Trade our 2 1s and Parsons (and Diggs if necessary) for #1 overall in 2026 and take Arch Manning

Too many variables.

How do we know the team that has the pick doesn't want Manning themselves?

Does Manning come out? Probably but no guarantee. He already has money, and he may love college.

We also suck at trades especially significant, high-stakes ones. You're expecting dim and dimmer to pull off bigtime trades in the first rounds two years in a row?

Last, since Cap Boy can't negotiate contracts when the player has even an ounce of leverage or choice to sign elsewhere, this team will continue to be overly reliant on the draft. You think this team will trade away multiple 1sts ("bites at the apple")?

P.S. Micah is basically two 1st round picks, and Diggs is a late 1st/early 2nd caliber player, so you would be giving up the equivalent of four 1st round picks and a 2nd for Manning. That's a lot.

P.S.S. We would have about $75M in cap room dedicated to the QB position going into the 2026 season (Dak $67,696,666 plus Caleb Williams first year cap hit $7,179,283). Yet another excuse for Cap Boy to pretend he can't add talent. June 1 cut for Dak? Sure. We get nailed for $30M in dead money the next year.

Have I mentioned that Steven Jones is horrible at contracts?

The only way you are getting Arch Manning most likely is having the worse record in the league. No one is trading away the first overall pick. They will take him
