Camden Brown putting on a show

Not Milton's best throw. He should have put that on Brown's back shoulder. Instead, he almost overthrew him if not for a great play by Touchdown Brown.
No...not a great throw. Not sure the "finesse" pass is Milton's strong suit? Initially, I thought it was an incompletion...and was amazed that Brown somehow hauled it in.

Just looked up the playing weight of Shannon Sharpe at TE and it listed at 6’2 and weighing between 228 to 230 tops.

Brown has to really show himself on special teams units.

Where he would be slotted in the receiver depth chart wouldn’t provide him a lot of snaps in the offense. He’s very good at contested catches, doesn’t run the full route tree.

Those fade routes get people excited but that doesn’t mean he’s anything close to a complete receiver. I would wager good money the coaching staff probably sees Mingo as more capable of stepping in any taking over #3 duties (which is a big role) should someone go down than Brown which is what folks don’t understand.

If Brown keeps playing like this you have to keep him and don't overthink it. Mingo has never done anything except waste a 4th round pick.

It’s so funny how some guys just get overlooked and they come to the NFL and just know how to play.

My favorite line from them was an excuse that Dallas had veteran role players beating on Seattle's backups. I quickly scanned the players on the field and hardly saw any recognizable Cowboy names, they were playing the same backups and rookies and fringe players that Seattle was.
Correct. And we drafted much higher in the draft and had two 1st round picks. And several players from last year that are talented.

I thought Smith was the more hyped UDFA WR until now.

Smith looks a bit small and is your typical PS guy. How in the heck does Brown already look the part and went undrafted? Georgia Southern I guess?

For get about his stats, he really actually looked like he belonged.

So, based on 1 preseason game against scrubs? The kid did look great, but the overreactions in here are on par with what was expected. If he does make the team, who gets cut? Would he be WR5?
He was also really good throughout training camp. Early on every practice it seemed like he made a big catch and he ended up getting starter reps. He was good in the rams scrimmage too.

He’s arguably been the top performer of the entire camp so far

Howells pass was under thrown

That’s one of the exciting things about this UDFA. All through training camp he’s shown a uncanny ability to catch bad balls.

Yeah that was Seattle copium

I didn't think that it was. I thought he was giving him a chance to go up and make a play. It certainly wasn't perfect because he should have thrown it more to the inside than the outside toward the DB. I don't think on that pass that Howell was trying to lead him, though. I think he saw the type of one-on-one matchup that Brown had been winning in practice and wanted to give him a chance to win the ball.

Yeah, I'm not knocking Milton because he had a good game. Just pointing out that it was a great catch but the throw wasn't great. Maybe he thought Brown was going to keep going to the back pylon, but it looked like Brown was expecting a throw to his back shoulder and then had to adjust to make the one-handed catch. Ultimately, it turned into a bigger highlight for him so I'm sure he's OK with it.

Camden is a bigger physical WR than Turpin . Those 2 TD’s were beautiful I don’t believe Turpin makes either play .

I would trade him now while his stock is incredibly high.......most likely be able to find a starter at offensive tackle with that kind of high draft pick.

His press from TC and his stat line last night (to say nothing of the way he caught both TD’s) will be enough that someone would take him from the PS.

I think he makes the team. I’d bet 2, maybe 3 dollars.
