Time for practice.

Over-Under on bad snaps in practice today is 5.

We jus got some fan kicked out of VIP tent for Jerry Jones' family and friends. The dude looks like Terry Glenn.

jay Ratliff in full pads today not sure how much he'll work. Garrett said his foot is day to day.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
Cowboys' line of thinking at center might be that they don't want to waste time with past-prime dude like they did with Brodney Pool at SS.

They hope Phillip Tanner can play with a cast on his hand, but he's not in pads for this practice.

Think a roster decision will come down to Arkin or Dockery. Arkin had edge of being younger/cheaper. Dockery is better/experienced.

Barry Church has a starting job locked up, but he's working on kick return unit. Darren Woodson used to fight to stay on special teams.

Tim Benford, who has caught some eyes at receiver, is getting some reps on kick returns.

It's not a real training camp until Flavor Flav gets here ... Now it's official

Rob Phillips ‏@robphillips3
@nickeatman That easily tops Pee Wee Herman at the Alamodome, which was just plain creepy.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
Jay Ratliff in pads for the first time. I'm sure his snaps will be monitored

Marcus Spears also back after missing few days with a concussion. Same as Teddy Williams

Given how ST coordinator Joe DeCamillis approached the early part of practice his guys better be on it. Expletives flying

Morris Claiborne is going thru resistance training. Sleeve on his left knee

John Mackovic at practice. He's visited a few times when Cowboys have been out here

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Marcus Spears and Jay Ratliff are in pads. Spears has been out a week with concussion. Ratliff been careful with foot. #cowboyscamp

John Phillips comes out, bit not in pads. Cowboys going to work heavy on three-TE sets today, Garrett said.

Rafael Vela ‏@CowboysNation1
Vickers and Crawford main two man wedge.

Jean-Jacques Taylor ‏@JJT_ESPNDallas
Stephen Jones just said if there was someone the Cowboys really wanted at WR or C, they would've signed them already. #boom

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
Teddy Williams is the nickel CB in his return to practice. Mario Butler not here so probably why

A nice smell of manure wafting through practice now. Need wind to change direction.

Claiborne is moving pretty good through his rehab work

Rafael Vela ‏@CowboysNation1
Scripted all 22 now. Teddy Williams @ LCB in nickel.

85 as split end. 14 in slot and Dez the X in ace sets.

Claiborne working the bands with trainers. Good driving forward. Looks a bit sluggish in backpedal.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Teddy Williams, Marcus Spears, Jay Ratliff all practicing. #cowboyscamp

Teddy Williams has an interceptiom. And drops it. Wasn't a full-speed rep. Does that make it wirse? #cowboyscamp

Josh Ellis ‏@DCStarJEllis
Andre Holmes jumped, but didn't highpoint the ball even when unchallenged in walk through. 6-5 frame doesn't matter if you don't use it.

Call me crazy but that reminds me of how much I miss the Texas countryside and the Ft. Worth stockyards

No way this Holmes guy makes the team. He just isn't any good.

Beasley and Benford the best 2 WR's in camp not named Dez.
yes i think they are going to start seperating themselves this week.

David Moore ‏@DavidMooreDMN
Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said he "wouldn't totally rule out Plaxico (Burress) at some point" if WRs don't develop the way they hope.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
Do other NFL teams practice with teenybopper music blaring to entertain the crowd?

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
Cowboys have added extra standing areas for fans on far fields. Filling up quickly

Security folks here are upset at fans not moving. Taking themselves way too seriously

Nate Livings doing cord work too. Hopes to be back soon from hamstring strain

Alex Albright is a tight end today. Garrett said lot of 3 TE packages today and they have only 3 healthy ones. Witten got too much work Tue

ILBs working on engaging and shedding blockers. OLBs working on setting the edge.

Jason Hatcher and Anthony Spencer doing some running. hamstring injuries for both. Only straight ahead

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus
Have to love RRyan, fan on the fence reminding him that he had better find a way to shut down Victor Cruz. Ryan just keeps nodding his head

Sean Lissemore might appear like a big clumsy guy but when you watch him go thru drills picking up fumbles you see his athletic ability.

Might be late to the party here but Jay Ratliff in full pads here this afternoon working with first group.

Jay Ratliff getting for some take offs. Took it easy on the change of direction drill. http://pic.twitter.com/GszinVBc

Ratliff going thru shed drills on sled. Had some pop. http://pic.twitter.com/szOTkMbq

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Nate Livings is in the stretching line. Not in pads. But getting closer, as JG would say. Kowalski, Nagy not seen in days. #cowboyscamp

Jason Garrett says alex Albright 'looks like a tight end, moves like a tight end, catches the ball like a tight end.' http://pic.twitter.com/NJgYIdgG

Rafael Vela ‏@CowboysNation1
Unit 1 on 1s. No cameo for Bernadeau today. Looks ready to work with the first unit.

Source says Cowboys have had "very preliminary" talks with Plaxico Burress' rep. @calvinwatkins will have story up soon.

FINALLY!

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
Expect the Cowboys to give young WRs most, if not all, of preseason to prove themselves before doing anything more than due diligence w/ vet

Rafael Vela ‏@CowboysNation1
4 on 4 now. TEs and RBs vs ILBs.

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus
Albright not working with LBers against TE and RB in combination routes but working with TE. Did a nice job of getting quickly in the flat.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
Defensive coaches are constantly telling guys to rip the ball free or knock it out after catches. Emphasis this summer

would so be down for a Plaxico signing
Here's hoping. He was really good last season with Sanchez throwing to him.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
Dez Bryant makes awesome look easy. Just soared over Brandon Carr and a safety to snag a TD pass on a post.

Best WR hands down

plaxico, dez, miles...

Would be impossible to cover them all....

Miles Slot Plax outside 3 WR set.....all over 6-2 and physical

Normally wouldn't be for signing Plaxico Burress, but he would come in knowing he's the #3, which would put him split wide with Bryant or Austin in the slot...

Looks good on paper. Burress, gun incident notwithstanding, hasn't really been a knucklehead either except for his penchant to dodge practice.

I am thinking besides the fact the he is a special teams demon, this guys is going to be hard to cut.
