Actually they do they just prioritized being able to run out of any look and Escobar was not near the blocker Hanna was due to lack of arm strength in particular. They used Hanna and Murray for the 6 and 7 man protections in pass pro to let Witten run routes most downs and only had Escobar in the red zone and shotgun 3rd down packages.

Last year he was integrated into the rest of the offense as his blocking had improved but after Romo went down he didn't have anyone to throw the ball into the middle of the field. Then he got hurt. I'm actually interested to see what they do this year.

Cowboys offense never learns. It's completely Romo dependent and doesn't evolve.

You would think they would learn but they never do.

What do you think the entire point of drafting Prescott or signing Kitna and the drunk several years ago was?

Couple of note from the Giants today

OBJ went down on a long pass drill for several minutes. It looked pretty bad but he said he got "cleated." Might be out of a couple of days.

On a bigger note though - Victor Cruz left the field halfway through practice and they are mum about why. He was supposed to be fully back but I bet they are VERY concerned about his situation.

Wouldn't matter if he was Rob Gronkowski himself.. Dallas coaches have no idea how to use 2 tight ends.

So true. It's so frustrating. Everybody knows he's not in the game to block but it doesn't matter. Other teams throw to their 2nd Nonblocking Tight End all the time. I don't get it
