So if that's the case, why continue with Dak, he's had his chance and it fails, he also drains CAP%. Try the alternative, by doing a Hurts or Dak 2016.

what is the alternative? the alternative solution has to be better than the current solution, other wise despite how much we dislike the current situation, its the best possible situation. best possible situation doesn't mean ideal or perfect. just that the alternative is worse.

so are you suggesting Milton to be the QB? lets give it a shot? is that really better? and we have had money on the cap. I am sick and tired of people using cap as a reason to justify their stance. last year we left 20M on the cap. the year before similar. the year before that 25 and so on. there isn't a player that if we wanted we couldn't have signed. even the current Dak' contract which everyone keeps saying its a 60M contract each year, could have had two void years at the end to spread the money and lower the cap hit. but Jerry chose not to.

and Hurts needs perfect around him to succeed. do you think he would get perfect in Dallas? we have seen when its not perfect around him, he hasn't been able to lift the team and at times looked worse than Dak.

The Defense, mostly the secondary were heavily to blame for the loss vrs the Packers, but even then, Daks lack of composure contributed to the loss.
Similarly, the two SF games, the run defense allowed the 9ers to run the clock down, but AGAIN Dak had the ball in his hands 3 or 4 times to win one and tie the other game.
It's these 'failures/coming up short' that puts Dak, not so much the problem category, but in the NOT THE SOLUTION....but I guess you agree on that, as you yourself agreed that we should of parted ways after 2023 (or at least after the contract ended in 2024)?

No, continuing, knowing we're never getting there (with Dak) is futile. We find an alternative, and spend the saved CAP on giving the rookie protection/weapons (and Defensive pieces).

They played badly in 1 of the 3 games, but didnt Dak also panic.....he also moved away from the run game that was playing ok. The problem remains the same whichever way we look at it, we need a pretty excellent Defense that can keep any deficit under 10 pts.

I dont know either, because the Chief's would of schemed out of the game, but would Dak of taken advantage of the space? There's also the matter of Dak was carrying $31m more CAP than Hurts, so he wouldnt have the roster Hurts had.

Agreed. We have to find the alternative.
A worse alternative with no chance of success is reducing any little chance we may have. Chances with Dak are low but not zero. Some will say none. But that's just their emotions speaking.

So that is why I said it has to be a better alternative. Thought through. And if we see it's not working then just move on. I like to improve our chances. This is not a defense of Dak. Just logical thinking.

Else folks like will change sides. Some defending the alternative. Some against it. And we continue this same 30 year cycle.

With that said with Jerry there is only a 0.000000001% chance of success. So even if we had mahomes Jerry would find a way to screw it up.

I think the whole team has issues. Some more than others. Folks here like to call out Dak and some only Dak. You just outlined it. It's defense, Dak, offense coaching. it's not a winning situation.
Could Chiefs schemed their way out? Yes. We don't have those coaches.

And stop with the cap. It's been proven over and over again the cap is not the issue. Cap management is a big issue.

Tell me one player we could have kept or get for 7M that would make a difference in us being a superbowl team and one so far from it. That's 31M over 4 years as you put a number out there. Give me the name of the player and how we would be a superbowl team?

Again not saying Dak deserves a large contract but the cap is not an issue stopping us from success. It's actually the least important of all the issues by far.
