Can a good rushing attack last all season?

A lot of us want the ball to be ran more, I get that I agree totally. My question is can this last all year long, in the playoffs etc as well?? Can we expect our runners to give us that much without injury at the RB position or on the O line?

Are the coaches willing to commit to the run that often. I often feel when you want to commit that hard to the run, you have to have a QB you're trying to protect. With us we've protected our QB will MILLIONS of dollars. For us to run that much, and not use that million dollar arm, I can see issues with this.

Please give your thoughts....
Smart coaches commit to it, especially when it's effective and the opposition struggles to stop it.

We haven't had a smart offensive coordinator who was wise enough to know how to keep enforcing what is clicking in years. The last dummy we had here serving as an OC would aid in the recovery of our opposition's defense by stopping the run game after the opponents have show they're having trouble stopping it.

Our last offensive coordinator was so dumb that we'd be gashing our opponents for 5, 6 yards a pop on the ground then the idiot would call 3 straight pass plays on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th & 2 or inside the 5 yard line.

The Rams, 49ers, Packers, Titans, and a few other teams would run you into the ground until you show you can slow it down or stop it. Not here in Dallas the last 3+ seasons.

With that said, the run game can be more effective all season than the passing game, especially in the colder months.

Good point, but if so why did Zeke play so much more than pollard when pollard was the better player
Look who our offensive coordinator was. That explains it all. The dude was not intelligent enough.

In 2021, meh running team with Zeke at 4.2ypc, very good running team with Pollard at 5.5ypc.

This year w/o Cooper, Pollard dropped .3ypc and Zeke 0.4ypc. Not exactly a controlled experiment, at least consistent with the general principle that's pretty obvious in itself - the better your WRs, the easier row to hoe for your RBs.
If Gallup cant get back to stretching the field some they will be in big trouble this year. Maybe they draft so e help who doesnt suck this year, we will see.

Gallup was a stretch the field because better players than he was took the defense's attention. I liked his short possession game on slants this year. Thought it added something we haven't seemed to have for a while. But I don't see Gallup being a big asset next year either.

Right. When Gallup was #3 he drew single coverage downfield. That is something that they didnt have this last year. They are banking on gallup being better than last year but i think they are wrong.

When a team is running the ball at a high enough rate, the defenders have to make sure and stop that run. That extra tick often means the difference between a completed pass and a sack or interception.
