Can Anthony Fasano play fullback and we sign another TE to play 2nd string?

I believe in the idea of doing Anthony Fasano like Chris Cooley and putting him at full-back and signing another good tight end out of free agency like Daniel Graham from New England Patroits.

Thoughts?

You know you start some of the damnest threads?

First off Fasano has had problems blocking while in motion-- so do you think a FB has to block while on the move?

Secondly Hoyt was terrific as a lead blocker last year-- the best we've had since Moose. Why install a guy that can't lead block?

You deserved rotten tomotoes for starting the Spears-Reggie White thread.

That's your opinion.. I have a different opinion than you do. So. I just wanted to hear you opinion because I felt fans going to have opinions just like behinds everyone got one.

I just believe it gives us more of a threat at getting the ball down field since he's a dangerous player.

Who says he's a dangerous player?

The guy caught like what 14 passes?

I would love to see what sort of description you would use for someone that catches like 80 passes in a season.

Woulda been more if passes thrown his way were catchable, the guy is gonna be great..:starspin

The fullback idea would work for a passing/trick play in the Super Bowl:D

Holy cow Batman, incredible truth in that line.

I cringe every time I see a new thread with the entire BAD idea in the title.

Hannam is still here too, no need to go get another TE. Hannam could transition to H-back more easily IMO.

Disagree -- Hoyte was good initially -- then he pretty much sucked and missed blocks consistently down the stretch. Each week, I thought more and more about Robert Thomas - good for a few games, showed promise, then crap.

Hannam had pretty serious surgery -- similar to the stuff that ended Beriault and Kalen Thornton's careers last year.

Don't forget that Ryan Hannam, blocking TE extraordinaire, will be coming back off IR this year...

As for Fasano, I don't know if he has the requisite lead blocking skills to succeed at FB...
