Been a Cowboys fan since 1956 . . . well, I just knew there would one day be a Cowboys team . . . in the 60s.
But I digress.
Here is my thesis: The Cowboys are not playoff worthy. Witness N.O. and the Eagles in the past three weeks.
Do we have anything to gain by going into the playoffs and then calling it a night after going home in defeat.
I say defeat because these cowboys cannot stop the pass.
Cannot stop the big play.
These are young, talented Cowboys but they clearly are not ready for prime time.
If N .O. and Philly did not make that apparent, you are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment after the first playoff game.
The humane thing would be to somehow not make the playoffs. go home and assess the talent/strategy/coaches and get ready to draft the best possible safeties and a corner and then get a CBk and safety in FA until the young ones grow into NFL stature.
That is the best-case scenario IMHO.
I love the 'Boys dearly.
They just don't stack up as a playoffs team.
