Against the Giants last week he didn’t even have a single tackle. He’ll be in the running like he has been the past two seasons but he won’t win it.
So what. There are players that go an entire game without a single tackle. He isn't the first and won't be the last. There's still 7 more games to go. It's way to early to declare he won't win it. He played well today and has for most of the season but all you want to talk about is last week. Some of you 'Cowboy fans' love to root against your own. I'm sure you and/or someone else will reply with 'how dare you, I've been a Cowboy fan my entire life blah blah'. Who cares.

If Bland keeps this up, Diggs will be CB2 next year.

When you’re talking about winning DPOY you can’t have many off games. No sacks and no tackles is a real off game. I say he won’t win it because he didn’t have the best first half of the season of all the defensive players in the league and he tends to wear down the second half of the season. He also didn’t have a great game against San Francisco and Philly. You have to show up big against the best teams and that’s been a problem for him. By the way, where am I rooting against him? If that’s the take you got from my post, you got it way wrong pal.

You can win it having an off game of no sacks and no tackles. Who said you couldn't? Certainly not me or you. There is no rule somewhere that says if a player has no sacks or tackles he's ineligible to win DPOY. Micah did have a very good first half. This guy back to my argument I had with some people on here about a month ago when they got all excited about TJ Watt's game against the Ravens. Getting sacks aren't the end all or be all to tell how good a player is. He's second in the league quarterback pressures and quarterback pressure rate. He leads the league in pass rush win rate. He had a very good first half of the season. This is another falsehood you are telling.

I think he has to be considered. The most TDs scored by a defensive player in a single season is 5. If he were to get 5-6, and double digit picks…..man

I was thinking this earlier. But did not post about it yet.

When was the last time, if ever did a DB win DPOY, maybe Deion?

If he gets a few more Pick 6”s, and say, double digit INT”s. He sure should be a top candidate.
Gilmore won it in 2019

Bland has been amazing. I don't see why he cant and shouldnt be in the discussion.

He is at +10,0000 odds to win at various sportsbooks. currently, they have him as 14-15th on the list. I think this is way too low.

The next 6 games for the cowboys set up nicely for both Dak to win MVP and for Bland to win DPOY. These games are all against decent to good teams, and they will be in the spotlight even more so than now. I put 20 bucks on D Bland for DPOY of the year. Imagine he shuts down Metcalf, AJ Brown, Diggs, Hill? Tall task obviously, but if he balls out the award could certainly be his.

No one is saying a player can’t have an off game and still win DPOY. And nowhere did I say he didn’t have a good first half of the season. I’m saying that he didn’t have as good a first half of the season as Miles Garrett. It’s not that difficult to comprehend my posts. Neither Parsons or the entire defense showed up against San Francisco in our blowout loss. He had a sack in our loss to Philly, but didn’t have a great game. How he performs in the big games are going to play a big part in winning DPOY. More teams are figuring out ways to neutralize him, especially the better teams, and we have some good teams coming up.

It’s not about who gets the most sacks that wins DPOY, it their overall performance players are being judged on. Right now, Miles Garrett is leading the way in my opinion. Parsons is going to have to make up some ground to catch him. Garrett had a huge game two weeks ago with 3.5 sacks and five tackles. He also had at least one batted pass. Parsons has never had a game that dominating. Like I mentioned, he tends to wear down later in the season. Just because I don’t think he’ll win DPOY doesn’t mean I’m pulling against him, so get real! Some of you here, just can’t handle honest, candid opinions.
