Can Byron's 4.38 speed stay with Jackson?

Has Claiborne returned to practice yet?

I'm hoping Jones is moved to safety this week. I have a no confidence voter for Wilcox playing a deep ball. But I would love to see the rookie run with Jackson.

If the CB is physical with Desean off the line then he never gets to top speed.

Jones has been beaten a number of times this year he wouldn't be able to stay with Jackson. Besides it has a lot more to do with technique than pure speed. Jackson has a lot of experience and Jones is still learning.

As mentioned above, it's all about technique. And you're probably going to keep a S deep to force Cousins away from the deep shot. There are very few CBs in the league who have the football speed to simply run with Desean.

I think if he lines up at CB it could be a long day for the young man. But at safety, I like his ability to cover the ground and defend the long ball. I hope Mo is back this week.

Cousins will have all day to throw against our anemic pass rush so eventually Jackson will get open.

There's a difference between running a 4.38 in tights and having that translate to that crap field in Washington. Jackson is plenty capable of running right past Jones.

What is actually funny to think about is, that field essentially ended RG3s career. That ACL tear in the playoffs on the field really did him in. That isnt the funny part by the way, i dont laugh at injuries, the funny part is, people finally got to see Cousins. We now know how that played out.

I hope Byron Jones goes back to safety, I like him better on J. Reed he is much more important to that offense than Jackson.

Your predictions haven't worked out very well. Just sayin...

lol whatever, dude. I said Romo would be lucky to finish the turkey day game because the Panther pass rush was coming for him. How'd that work out? I was balls on accurate and yes if you've seen the movie "My Cousin Vinny" then you know that is an industry term.

The only way any DB on this team stays with Jackson is with a good jam that forces him to the sideline. If you don't force him to the sideline and use it as an extra defender, he can run under almost anything.

He may not run a 4.3 anymore, but anyone watching their last game knows he can still outrun just about anyone on the field.

After the last couple of games, I prefer to keep Byron Jones at safety as much as possible. He's ok at CB, but it seems he can be elite at the S spot.

Hasn't he played nickel and outside the last 4 games or so, with Heath and Wilcox splitting safety duties?

Our defense has looked best with Jones in the slot, Mo and Car outside and Heath playing the one high.
