Can Columbo play LT?

Taking 2 OTs both are projects at LT, can Columbo make the move if it takes awhile for Martens, Free or McQ to start?

Free was a steal at where we got him. He was a 1st round prospect before the season, but he played through a groin injury and a stress fracture in his foot (even played a few games with a boot on) and his performance wasn't as good as in years past. I think he could play LT just as good as Columbo could right now.

No I don't think Columbo could move to the LT. I miss LA when he was younger and beat DEs into the ground.

When Colombo was drafted in 02 he was projected to play both tackle positions in the NFL. Don't know if his severe knee injury affected his ability enough so that that no longer an option.

Me too; I don't think columbo should leave his spot; besides, if he does well there, we will have to pay him alot of money, (left tackle money) Columbo is too weak right now, even a few years removed from the injury. He would have a hard time dealing with the stronger, faster defensive ends left tackles face. I think he is perfect where he is right now, and I don't want Leonard Davis to leave the guard spot where he can be a masher.

Not sure which knee it was he injured, but that could very well be the reason that he may NOW be strictly a RT type. I didn't know that he was projected at either end, also. Interesting.

I think at this point McQ or Free could be the LT tackle of the future OR either may end up at guard at some point. Marten looks like a RT to me.
