Can Dallas Cowboys make it to the Superbowl

I hate these as well but for a different reason. Some become what they mock in other fans. If we saw Commanders or Giants fans hollering SB right now most of us would laugh at them because it is too early in the season to even be talking SB. The majority of the season is still in front of us so just enjoy the season and hope this team is playing their best towards the end of the season.
Plus we just won two in a row for the first time in over a year.

Yes, I think they can. The NFC is REALLY weak this year. There is no standout team in the NFC. There are about 4 "show-up-to-the-Superbowl-and-get-smacked teams. Atlanta, Carolina, Dallas, and Tampa Bay are the only real threats. This is the reverse of the 80's and 90's in which the AFC was jv league and whoever won the NFC was destined to win the Superbowl.

Football is about confidence and momentum. The more games we win in a row, the more confidence we will amass and thus the better we will play. Thus far, we have two wins in a row against respectable teams. A third win over a respectable team like Seattle will just add to that momentum.

Football is a lot like baseball now. It's not about which team is the best; it's about which team is playing the best particularly late into the season. I don't think our team is all that talented but they have gotten a couple of key wins and momentum and that could mean all the difference in the world. That's different from the past in which a talent laden team could slack off a little early in the season and then turn it up later into the season. There is so much parity in the league that it's really about confidence and momentum. So if we can pull a 2 or 3 more wins in a row, I think it's a very realistic conclusion.

Well, the top teams in the NFC besides Dallas are:

NY Giants (beat them & really dominated them for the game)
Philly (destroyed them)
Washington (dominated them for all of 90 seconds)
Carolina
Atlanta
Tampa Bay
Seattle

Carolina has looked less and less impressive as they lost to a bad New Orleans team and almost lost to bad Detroit & Arizona teams. Could they beat us in the playoffs? Sure. But, we could certainly beat them.

Then there's Atlanta who hasn't been very impressive sans the Philly opener at home.

Tampa Bay has virtually played nobody as of yet.

That comes down to Seattle who lost to Washington and hasn't beaten an above .500 team so far.

The big question is how much will the loss of Flozell and Crayton impact the team.

Yep...I agree with that as well.

I've spent some time on the Hawks board this week and they do not respect our D yet. To be honest...I'm still in the wait and see mode myself. I do not question our talent...it's about youth and consistancy for me right now. If we shut down this offense I will be ecstatic (sp) with our D.

I don't think most of the analyst and teams are putting us in that category just yet, so to try and figure out who we are going to play in the Superbowl makes me cringe...one at a time.

Seattle and Washington have potential. We'll know more once they play some quality opponents.

We will know a ton more about the Cowboys and the Seahawks on Sunday. This game is HUGE in measuring the Cowboys' SB potential.

Thoughts? How can they make it and win it...and who you think they would face?

can they make it? sure they can...they wont get there or win it scoring 13 or 16 pts a game like they have in half of this yrs 6 games though

that said, if JuJo can be effective running and we can keep Bledsoe healthy and protected decently, we can be very good on offense...defensively they have to keep doing what they've done the past two games

nobody in the NFC is significantly better than anyone else right now, so yeah we have as good a shot as any I suppose

If we're to show the world we're a contender, then it starts this weekend. We have to beat the Seahawks and beat them good. We have to punish them, and show everyone on SportsCenter the remains of their bloodied corpses.

Then we come back home and smother the Cardinals.

Is this like some sort of Halloween themed post? "After we cripple the opponents we must impale them with first down markers and hang their corpses from the goal posts! Then we shall burn their stadium to the ground and bludgeon their fans as they flee from the conflagration!" That oughta do it... :D

Absolutely! Putting money where the mouth is as the saying goes, I laid $200 on our 'Boys to win the SB @ the WYNN in Las Vegas which was offering 20-1 at the time (morning of our first game - week 1)... odds have now dropped to single digits. Some sportsbooks have the Cowboys as one of the top 4 favorites to WIN the SUPERBOWL.

Of course. The Seattle game and remaining BRUTAL three divisional games away on cold muddy grass will decide it. Losing to Minny, Stl, or Az would also suck, but it's the above four games that count. To have any chance against those teams, Julius Jones needs to be playing his best football because these teams will be ready for our passing game. JJ's already most likely to not be a factor against Seattle, so it's up to our defense to hold the fort for the next few weeks.

You asked if they can, yes they can. Will they? Different question.

But right now, I could probably name seven teams (out of 16) from the NFC that could make it to the Superbowl, in no particular order: Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, Tampa Bay, Carolina, Atlanta, Seattle. Dallas has as good a shot as any of those teams IMHO.

As for the AFC, it's probably going to be the Colts. They've finally fixed their defense, the missing link for the past four seasons. They're probably going to win the whole thing.

I'd say it's possible since I don't think there's a team in the NFC we can't beat. I don't think it's probable though.

If we do somehow make it, the AFC representative will whoop us real well.

You should make this a poll .
It would be interesting to see how stoked everyone is or isn't bout this team.

I hope I don't eat these words, but I just don't see us getting blown out by anyone this year. And if you're in every game, you have a shot to win every game. I like our chances every week cause this team is made up of a bunch of fighters.

If and that is a big IF.we can beat seattle next sunday then i can tell you we might take the NFC..this SUPERBOWL is for the Colts or one of those AFC team..however u never know anything can happened between now and then

This season reminds me a lot of 1991

We may be 1 offseason away but we are at the doorstep and wearing a Jason mask.

depends upon number of injuries, which by the way are starting to reveal their ugly head.

but if we escape relatively unscathed.......... we win against indy.

If we make it I hope it's the Broncos, I can't stand Peyton Manning.
