Can Fasano do this?

Took this from the CBS sportsline evaluation.

There are probably few college tight ends in recent history who have averaged four catches (49 for 587 yards and four touchdowns) and more than five knockdown blocks (67) per game.

This is really weird. Mayock says he will not block at all and all I read on here is that he is a great blocker!

Which probably says a lot about Mayock

He could be the next Witten, but the real Witten will play most of time.
I think last year showed that we need a capable backup TE in certain passing plays. Curtis/Fasano split that time, maybe he can own that time.

Hopefully he's better than Leonard Pope, who we passed up in order to draft Fasano.

No offense, but...

What a dumb thread.

Whats dumb is me taking you off ignore. Youre behaving just like Edunce did last year except he was trolling about a CB instead of a WR. Time to put you back where you belong.

I thought it was a great thread. Don't see that done a lot. Nice to know he is that athletic and probably one of the reasons he got drafted in the second round. Good for him. He'll make a fair amount more money for that instead of the third or fourth and maybe even later.

I mean, after trading away a backup 2nd round TE for a 4th rounder the team turned around and drafted another backup 2nd round TE.

Really, whats there to be mad about.

Fasano obviously does not fit Wade's mold of TE. Wade is looking for a TE that can line up as a WR, catch the high pass eith that vertical leap of his, and of course be a distraction for the opposing defense with his size.

Things are not always black & white, so calm down....

If we can't get a good WR in the offseason, we can use him to stretch the field

Bennett won't stretch the field, but he will create mismatches in the secondary. I watched the Aggies a lot and Bennett's speed on the field is incredible for a guy his size. This was a good pick. He's just as fast as Malcom Kelly and his hands are just as good.

No, he could be the next Antonio Gates. That's the comparison most writers, and Wade, have been making.

Yeah, he plays like a bigger version of TO. He's an awesome weapon, and will shine in our O. Plus, he has that cock-sure attitude that most of the greats have. He's very funny and outgoing, he's going to be a media darling. If he's able to get on the field, he's going to be a dynamic weapon that Ds will not be able to matchup with. This may turn out to be the pick that "makes" our draft.

I can see why you guys are upset with us taking a TE but make no mistake Martellus Bennett is a good player.

I would've just kept Fasano though. Fasano was a good solid player.

I guess they got tired of Fasano dropping end zone passes in big games (Green Bay, NYG playoffs). I had high hopes for Fasano, but the coaching staff has first hand knowledge and apparently they felt Fasano wasn't the best fit for this offense. I have no problem with trading Fasano or drafting Bennett, I just wish we had gotten more in return for Fasano AND Ayodele. I mean a fourth round pick for a starter and second round pick? Ridiculous.

Ayodele wouldnt have played this year.

This is what happens when your team goes 13-3 and three and loses in the playoffs, you need to replace and upgrade your role players, i.e. Julius, Fasano, Ayodele, Reeves and we have done all of that.

Everyone ******* and whines that we needed a WR if TO gets hurt, but if Witten gets hurt who will play in his place? Curtis still couldnt beat out Fasano because Fasano was still involved in 25% of the snaps on offense last year.

We still have the rest of the draft...
