Can Feel It. Changes Are Coming

Doubtful. Remember Jerry thinking the 2015 team still could make the playoffs till we were eliminated?

NFC East may not be that putrid till week 13/14, but as long as the Commanders, Giants and Eagles ride the same short bus with us, Jerry will continue to "believe" we can fix things and get into the playoffs.

All games are potential losses, there are no guarantees.

The next 4 games are all potential losses. They likely will lose to Jax and Philly. Titans and Skins are toss ups. Gut tells me we lose in Washington, lose to Jax, lose in Philly and beat the Titans.

I suspect if we get to 3-6 you might see some action. I still think Jerry and Stephen thinks what they have works but at 3-6, even they won't be able to quell the uproars from fans as well as the criticisms coming from the media.

Jerry tipped his hand yesterday with his comment about Dak and WR1.
if any change is made...probably at O.C. after the season.
Not holding out hope however of a change where its needed the most...at H.C.
his contract is up after '19....so is Dak's I think...so maybe after next season.
not holding my breath tho.
I'll believe it when I see it.
I was thinking about these comments about Dak being long-term and not having a WR1 and I can't help but wonder if he's going to try and make a big trade with, say, Atlanta or something for a big time WR.

Garrett is losing the team:
  • WRs feel the need to publicly throw the QB under the bus in defense of their play
  • Assistant Coach (anonymous) supposedly critical of aforementioned WRs
  • Usually what is seen on the surface is only a fraction of the existing riff within
  • Even the delusional Owner is criticizing his HC publicly (biggest concern for Garrett)
Best player could be hurting physically:
  • If Zeke is ineffective or misses any time, the offense will be toast
  • The warts of ineptitude will become ever apparent and the external scrutiny will become unbearable
  • Could see games where the Cowboys don't score on offense and have record breaking lows for all the statistical indicators if Zeke is marginalized by injury
The Defense is much improved, a good unit, but not able to carry the team:
  • A work in progress with a lot of potential and hope for the future, but unable to take over games and help carry the team as was needed to mask the problems on offense
  • An ineffective Zeke kills the defense with inadequate TOP from the offense
  • The positives on D could lead to a Marinelli interim hire as HC if the team falls off the cliff before Thanksgiving with an all out HC search ensuing at season's end
The problem with change
  • What clown Jerry would bring in to coach the team and allow him to maintain the face of the franchise posture he craves?
I think some ugly losses are on the way and things will really start heating up if the Cowboys play poorly during weeks 7 and 10 divisional games. I can't see Garrett as HC in the new year, because, let's be realistic, this thing is not going to turn around in 2018.
agree with most of that but when will this Owner and FO make this move.. I feel like being 2-3 but only half game out of first in your own division will delay the firings..if the leaders in our division were 4-1 or 5-0 right now id say one more loss would do it but the down play in the east keeps the team intact for bit longer, hope is bad thing right now LOL

I'd love that.

I have a feeling our "Bye" week is going to be news worthy.

fans always get this when the team is sucking, the media feeds it and feeds it as much as you will eat
when the team is winning everything is wonderful

that aren't going to fire Garrett mid season

I would love to know what they actually say in their coach meetings and sit in on a meeting with Jerry. just to know what they're telling him though
I mean, Garrett was a nfl qb. he knows better than we do why a play fails
is he delusional? just stubborn? expecting a better result next time?
I'd love to know

Players are already publicly questioning the coaches. Next up is the dreaded players-only meeting. After that, the coaching staff generally loses the team.

When “Wade lost the team”, it was actually Garrett and his offense that was getting blamed for the last two years. TO and Crayton used to call out Garrett all the time. Wade was actually being scapegoated like we are witnessing now with everybody other than Garrett. I’m not even a Dak fan, but he’s one. But it was Garrett and the FOs decision to start him.

Wade has never in his whole history of coaching ever lost a team in the manner of Jason Garrett.

After Sunday we may see the classic offense vs the defense battle take shape.

For me when I think of it this way. Garrett stat wise has had the best QB, WR, TE, Pass rusher in Cowboys history, 2 different elite to very good OLs, and 2 elite to very good RBs all in their prime. For this franchise that is saying a lot. I cannot think of another HC for any team over the last 20 years that has had that much talent and produced so little in the postseason.

Change the name from Richardson to Jones, and then we might see real change.

On November 4, 1979, the Rams beat the Seahawks 24-0. In that game, the Seahawks ran for 23 yards. Jim Zorn completed 2 of 17 passes for 25 yards. And he was sacked 6 times, losing 55 yards in the process. That's right, Seattle put up -7 total yards for the game.

A game like that would be pretty amazing to see, to be honest.
If Dallas came out and laid an egg like that, I do not think even Jerry could handle the embarrassment. He can handle tough losses he cannot handle embarrassment even when he is wrong.

Jerry...what's going on Jason
Jason...well Jerry you know it's a process, it's a process, and in this process we need to look at the film to see if the process is working, make sure it's working
Jerry...so you and the family still on for T-Day dinner
Jason...I need to lookout the film, look at the film, and see the process of what route to take to your house, that route needs to be processed
Jerry...ok Jason, keep up the good work, see you out on the field
Jason...yes Jerry, yes, Jerry
