Can Folk get it back or is he done?

I've never seen a Pro Bowl kicker fall so far. I know he had surgery but he's been cleared to play. He's made tons of excuses. There's no doubt we draft a kicker now since it seems Beuhler can't do it (who may be good on kickoffs). The question is, can he return to old form?

It was a huge coaching mistake to not have Buehler practicing field goals all year. He should be practicing for hours every day now...Wade should have to answer why he is so stupid. Buehler will have to practice for a while before he can be expected to compete.

Wade blows it again. How do you have a kicker on your team who does not practice field goals? What if Folk got hurt? This is so stupid it blows my mind.

Whats the worst that can happen, he misses the FG??? Isnt Shankapotamus already doing that??? I highly doubt Buehler could do worse thant 4 out of 11 from 40-49 yards. Thats like only 1/3 of his kicks are good from this range.

You telling me Buehler could do worse??? If Buehler misses 2/3 of his kicks from this range, he will be equal to Shankapotamus.

So what is there to lose???

The fact that Shankapotamus is still on the roster is just laughable. Vandershank was cut after 5 misses in the regular season and Folk has missed twice that many.

Longwell was money for the first 4 years of his career, but then suddenly in his fifth season he only completed 64.5 percent of his FG attempts, missed a 20-something yard field goal, and even missed an extra point attempt.

What happened to him afterwards? Eight years of very solid play. Who would we rather have, Seder, Vanderjagt, Cortez, Grammatica, Suisham?

He sucks....though I think he should not be cut instead have been placed on IR and Beuhler given a chance to kick, it can't be worse.

Vanderjagt wasn't in his 3rd season, he was in his 8th and it probably made sense to figure he was declining. Folk is still young, and might be incurring some problems from surgery.

Sit his *** for a while? Yeah sure. Drop him like a bad habit after a bad season? Not really.

This is the fans perspective, a bad year, get out. It really doesn't consider the reality of things. A career isn't made in a season and there isn't an endless well of players to simply delve into to replace each and every guy who's struggling.

Coach, get out. OC get out. Kicker, get out. Safety, get out. CB get out. Nothing in the world works like that. A complete overhaul leaves looking like the Lions.

Agreed. Two years ago David Akers was 2-10 from 40+ yards (Folk is 5-13 this year). John Carney hit only 65.5 percent of his FG attempts in his third season, and was 4-10 from 40-49 yards, and he's had a very successful career.

I agree, the guy is done... I don't think that the guy could ever be the kicker he was last year...
