I really thought he was a goner, but I thought yesterday that when BP was talking about his talent acquisition process he was using Fowler as an example of a "find"

I really did not think he would make the team.

I think it depends on how many LB we keep. Flower could get caught up in the numbers game

I believe we keep 9 LB's including Fowler...

Ellis
Ayodele
James
Ware
Singleton
Boiman
Burnett
Carpenter
Fowler

Just look at the names in that LB corp.

Makes you even more proud to be a Cowboy fan!

Edit: Here's a question for you. Lets say the Cowboys were going back to a base 4-3, who gets cut/traded? Tough question huh? You can say that Fowler would be gone. Ellis could be moved back to DE. Who else? Would the Cowboys keep 7 LB in a base 4-3?

In his Thursday PC Parcells was talking about his LBs. I think he was talking about Hoyte specifically but he said, "I've told all of these guys that are left here that they all have a shot at making this team."

It is going to come down to ST play for some of them and Fowler is one of those guys I believe. He has been Bradie James' primary backup and played some nickel packages. We should know more about his role (or his chances) after tonight’s game when we see how they use him vs. the other guys.

I think Fowler is ahead of Boiman on the pecking order, but they both probably make the team. Hoyte is the darkhorse.

Hoyte is the Darkhorse no doubt. But Parcells thinks enough of him to come out and give him 20 minutes of one-on-one instruction before practice; the kid much be showing him something.

What about Glymph? Hate to throw away a 6'7 270 LB if he can play. That's a monster in the middle!

Glymph, Fowler, and Hoyte,.....
These three are competing for definitely one spot....although its possible that it could be 2, could depend on STs and other how many WRs and DBs we keep.
Hoyte is eligible for PS I believe to so there's a remote chance we keep all 3?

The only problem with Hoyte is that we know that the Pats like him as well. So we'd probably lose him if placed on the PS.

I would rather us keep Glymph or Hoyte and let Singleton go. I think these two have much more upside than Singleton. However, I do realize that Parcells values the veteran so ...

can we trade Hoyte to NE for Branch then? :p:

actually getting a draft pick, even late round like a 6th or 7th or something for him would be a coup and make our roster decisions easier.
To acquire draft picks for players we didn't use draft picks on is good business..

Boiman is out there playing with a badly broken thumb. Also, he can play all of the LB spots -- you just know Bill is totally in love with him at this point.

Hoyte is a PS player - Jerry may have to tell him to not answer the phone though, teams who play a similar D might have some interest in him.

I dont know why...he played pretty well when he got on the field last yr and is a good ILB and special teamer

this is exactly what i think.. and i think they are all pretty even at this point.. i have no idea which of the three makes it.. hey, New Orleans could still use some more linebackers.. let's give em Fowler for a 3rd..

Boiman is not on the bubble.. he is going to make it..

Ive been hearing that Boiman is playing top 3 special teams on the team up there with Davis, put that with his toughness and versatillity he is making this 53 man roster

I think Boiman makes it as well.

IMO, it comes down to Fowler vs. Glymph and Hoyte.
