Can Henry play the FS position or not?

Seems like everyone agrees, that Davis is always going to be a liability for us at FS. However, drafting 2 safeties in the 1st round over 4 years is a bit extreme. On the other hand, drafting 2 CB's in the 1st round over 3 years would be more justified IMO. I'm not sure which CB would fit our secondary the best, but Henry would have to switch to FS regardless.

The question is....can Henry do it?

I think it's stupid to move what might be our best CB to the FS position.
Certainly our 2nd best.

I think Davis is fine and will improve greatly now with experience.

Henry is certainly competing (sp) up with Newman on beeing our best CB. but its a freakin waste of talent to move such a talented player like Henry to FS. I personally do not like the move. Leave Henry alone.

I think it is beyond stupid to move a quality corner, you just paid big bucks to, to FS.

Add dynamic players up front and FS is a non-issue. QBs can't exploit a weakness flat on their arse.

I think we should leve Henry at cornerback. Then draft a safety in the 3rd round to compete with Davis.

But I think Henry could play free safety. I also think Reeves could play free safety.

Agreed. While I have no doubt that Henry can and has played the position before. I don't think its in the teams best interest to do so.

He played most of (if not his whole) rookie year at FS and had like 10 or 11 picks I believe (some high number). So he obviously can. Should he ??? NO !!!

I think he could play S very well.......Butttttt until you have a quality CB to replace him it would be down right stupid to make the change.

I would rather they move AGlenn to FS before moving Henry. Quality corners are harder to find.

if they did make a move for Huff there might be other alterior motives for doing it as well...in addition to possibly being a better CB than Henry, and allowing Henry to move to FS to make our secondary incredibly stout you also have to remember Terrance Newman's deal will be up after the 2007 season I believe, he was an older rookie (25 wasnt he) when we drafted and PERHAPS the Cowboys are hedging themselves in case they cant or dont want to ante up a huge contract for him

I dont think thats what it is and hope they resign Newman longterm soon, but its certainly a possibility

No, he played as the slot corner in the nickle D. He was not the FS on that team

What is this ridiculous facination with moving CBs to safety? Henry is a solid to very good CB when healthy. Keep him there. Remember all those years when Dallas struggled at CB? Come on, do you want to go back to the days of Mario Edwards? CBs are not that easy to find.

As you said, Henry is solid when healthy.

Some say, Glenn played even better in his place last year.

I'd say it was pretty close.
