I learned this one many years ago. It's fun in mixed company of at a casual social event. It's an mathematical "Magic" ;);) trick.

1. First you ask them to pick a number between 1-10 but don't tell you the number. (You state to remember this number because we will need it later)

2. You ask them to double their number.

3. Then to make it harder you ask that they add 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 to the number.

4. Its up to your presentation to act unsure or undecided/confused...lol!! then you ask them to divide their total in half (1/2).

5. Ok......this is the closer. You ask them to remember their first number and subtract it from what they got when they divided everything in half (1/2).

6. The answer will always be half (1/2) of what you ask them to add or #3. ( I use a small piece of paper and after i ask them to pick a number I wright their answer on it and let them hold it)

Poor suckers don't have a clue!:lmao:;) anyway, hope some of you guys get a laugh or two from this one.

I saw one dude who claimed he could simultaneously play chess against ten players and beat at least half of them. He would play with the white pieces against 5 of them and with the black pieces against the other 5. What he was really doing was having them all play each other without their knowing it, and he was just moving pieces to ape the movements of each player. Since they were really playing against each other, he would "win" exactly 5 games. The tough part, of course, was keeping all the games straight without their realizing they were playing against each other and not against him, but he had a lot of practice at it and was good at it.

I see things like this a lot, and while I never bothered to try to figure out the formula, I always knew it was just math, not magic.

I have drink one

They get
3 shot glasses of water

You get
3 mugs of beer

You tell them you can drink 3 mugs of beer before they can drink 3 shot glasses of water. The catch is you get to drink the 1st mug and when you put it down the competition starts . You say one stipulation" I don't want anyone touching my mugs or anyone touching your glasses. You can't touch mine and I can't touch yours.

Make sure you line you mugs straight across with space between because most likely they will too.

The Trick
When you get done with the 1st mug of beer., turn it upside down and cover one of their shot glasses of water

When I do this I usually just gouge two of 'em in the eyes while simultaneously head butting the person in the middle and swipe all the shots off the table. Fun for the whole family. ;)
