Can Jonathan Mingo finally develop into a reliable fourth option for the Cowboys?

Doubt it. He tends to diagnose plays like his mentor, Kenneth Murray Jr. So far, he looks lost out there as an off-ball LB, and apparently it's hard to coach up football IQ.

We know top 3 are Lamb, Pickens, Flournoy.
I hink Turpin needs to stick to KR and PR duties, with some plays on offense. But not as much as they pushed last year.

#4 will be between Mingo and A. Smith. Possibly Scantling and outside chance of Mims. Unless they keep 6 WR's.
Which I doubt. I think they keep a 4th TE over a 6th WR. Or an extra OL over both positions.

Here’s my prediction

WR1: Lamb
WR1: Pickens
WR3: Fluornoy
WR4: Turpin
WR5: Tolbert Holden or Smith

They really want another developmental WR behind Fluornoy and Holden or Smith give them that

Tolbert out. Young guy in.

Just a caution to the reactors. Tolbert is likely going to look good in Miami. He’s a lock for their 53 and may be a starter. That’s how bad it is for them after the departure of Waddell and Hill.

My first reaction is he would already be a player by now if he had the ability to be one.

But, there is something about him I can't put my finger on. He seems to be able to get open. He has the size and speed. Yet for some reason he does not have a lot of catches or playing time. Injuries could be a factor, but I am thinking only of when he is healthy enough to play. I hope he develops because I am not crazy about Turpin as a WR.

At this point, I just chalk it up to Mingo being a 1 year depth piece to which Junior Adams doing Mingo "a solid" on helping on his pension numbers for life after football.

I don't expect Mingo to have a star on his helmet this time next year.
