The deal here is, we are talking Jerry who is unpredictable.
He could fire Mac and promote Moore to HC
That isn't going to happen. I think that they are going to do very well and the majority of the staff will come back next season. In a few years Quinn might become the head coach.

Really, why is that? Any of the other teams can certainly lose a game and the Cowboys are certainly good enough to beat any team. It wouldn't surprise me if any of the other teams lose a game in their home stadium.
I don’t deny it’s possible but I rarely expect the Cowboys or really any team to win games they aren’t favored in, especially on the road in the playoffs.

Let's reel in all the talk of making it to the NFCCG for a minute and take this one step at a time. Can these Dallas Cowboys get past the WC round this year? Can they beat the likes of TB12 on the road and or the Panthers? I think they can and should. This appears to me to be a different team than years past. More well rounded in all 3 phases and they have cohesiveness. Granted, they still have their problems but what team doesn't. I think this team can and will impose its will in the WC round and come away with a win. Then....the real competition comes to play. It's then we will see what this team is made of. Gotta take that elusive first step before we talk about championship games.

I'll go a step further and say they already took the first step by going to the playoffs in back to back years.

The next will be the wild card round, which I think they will do.

From there real progress can begin. Whether or not they can get past the divisional round is my biggest question mark.

Unless a minor miracle happens and the Cowboys steal the NFC East it’s going to take three road playoff wins for the Cowboys to reach the Super Bowl. Just don’t see it happening. The Cowboys last road playoff win was 30 years ago in the 92 NFC title game at San Francisco. They’re 0-8 in road playoff games since. Three of our four losses this season were on the road.
But that was a heck of a run. Shot the dirty birds, then SF. Posters are all about being correct in their predictions. Me? Just want to see a good run with well officiated games. No predictions by me.

THIS IS THE YEAR to win it all

the NFC is so so weak
Our main competition is playing their #3 QB (niners) or starter is injured (birds)

THIS BETTER BE THE YEAR
No excuses

take no prisoners

Cowboys should beat the nfc south winder….be very upset if they don’t. I do think however if it’s Tampa it deserves a caveat that we would be playing the goat

We can, definitely. It would be a total failure to lose the WC.

I'm not normally optimistic at all with the Cowboys, but if we get some key players back like LVE and Hankins, I think we can make the NFCCG.

The offense is too good right now. We just need the D to catch back up

If the Cowboys can't get past the WC round vs. a sub 500 team, it's time to blow the entire thing up and start from scratch. I don't care who their 45 year old QB is.

The defense better get it together. If we can get healthy meaning our D, we will be tough to beat. Giving up 25 to 30 points a game makes it hard on the offense.

If they cant bye bye Quinn he can go! Put Edwards in there and I bet they know how to stop the run. This whole thing to me is a blemish on quinn’s record! Cant stop the run the dtackles didnt progress they suck!!

That is the million dollar question for a team that hasn’t won a road playoff game in a few decades. Overall team strength suggests Dallas should beat any NFC South opponent in the wild card round, but Brady could await them. And past history suggests a victory against him is unlikely. So it wouldn’t really surprise me one bit if they lose to TB.

Jimmy Johnson was all about the bye and home field. I know it didn’t equate to anything for this team in ‘07 and ‘16 but playoff games on the road are even harder.

In the end, this team lacks something. And it’s a shame the defense isn’t playing like the first six weeks of the season.

We’ll see soon enough.
