Can Murray of the future replace Murray 2014?

If the Cowboys re-sign Murray, what will his future production be?

  • He will exceed 1800 yards rushing at least once and >1300 three more years as well

As everyone knows--or should know--contracts should be based on future production...with maybe some goodwill added in for past service to some small degree.

When people discuss Demarco Murray, they mention his 1845 yards rushing and how you just can't replace that with anyone.

I agree.

But I also think that Murray himself cannot replace that production going forward .

What do you think?

Does Future Murray have nanotechnology injected into his bloodstream?
I would take the over, in that case.

average for 4 years?

ah missed that.

average? if we're starting that with 2015, then id go 1050-1300. but i bet he misses a handful of games. i guess this comes down to me not wanting him to be in philadelphia.

How many yards would Todd Gurley get? Duke Ferguson? Adrian Peterson?

Probably miss a minimum of 12 games over the next 4 seasons and average 1100 yds. The bigger question is how many more times will he fumble the game away in the playoffs?
Yep, I'm still fuming over that one.

With our line
1,200 next year at 3.8 a carry.

900 in 2016 at 3.2 a carry
he he only has 3.8 ypc in this offense...yikes

Obviously, you for sure don't want to sign him
Hey, there is evidence that we should expect a big decline after last years work load.
But wow

He averaged 3.9 after week 11. Thats a typical decline for a back after that kind of workload

So your $8 million aging RB blows his knee in Game 2 when there were many options in the draft....

I'd say he has a good 2-3 years in the tank with a fourth year in the meh range.. He might break 1,800 one time and then go 1,200-1,500 or so the rest..
