Actually, I think the answer is yes. I think BP's act had worn thin for this team. If nothing else, we'll have a different approach to things. I think the players are happy with the change. We DO need a good draft this time around, I hope they actually pay attention to things in the later rounds. Is Jamal Lewis going to be available? Is he done/too old? We need a big back for one thing. Should we draft a QB in the first 4 rounds?

Great post. While WP certainly wasn't one of my top 5 candidates, the fact that he is not BP will have a very positive impact on this team. LOL. BP's mind games had grown old...just as he had. A big back is a must, but I say find him in the draft. If we could find a great QB that was available in the early rounds of the draft then by all means we should draft him.
Again, fantastic post.
Let's hear from others.

So, Bowmanbody is Philo Beddoe over here. Still talking about the leader in INTs in Canada, Ray Ray. lmao.

I believe he can. Clearly we didn't have the right approach especially on D. Phillips will fix that. Running the 3-4 the way it is supposed to be ran will automatically be a huge improvement on that side of the ball.

We do need a good draft. But that is true every year. It doesn't need to be flashy either. Dull picks like NT or CB suit me fine.

Jamal Lewis? I don't want him. To old and to slow.

Drafting a QB only make sense if you draft them at the right time. We needed a QB when we drafted QC and look where that got us. Drafting any player to early just because there is a need at that position isn't very smart. We wasted a #2 on him when we had more important needs. I do think we need to get one (IMHO we need to draft one at least every other year) at some point in the draft.

Did you see Stephen Jackson at the Pro Bowl yesterday...the guy is a beast...he would have looked AWESOME in Silver and Blue...woulda, coulda, shoulda...

That being said..do you really think we pull the trigger on a RB in the draft? JMO, but the only way we are in the market for a back, is if the Boys trade JuJo...which seemed to be a very real possibility last season...at least those were the rumors.

Wade will DEFINITELY improve the D...if Sporano and Red...and Romo, can continue the success on Offense, I like our chances next year.

We can only hope that Phillips has the same success as another very good D D-Coordinator (Ex Cleveland HC) now with NE.

So my question is this...Why will this time be different for Wade...why will he be able to get over the hump...win The Big One in Dallas...something that he couldn't do in his previous stops as a HC?

I'm gonna bump this up, I thought it was an excellent topic for discussion

Not one of your top five picks? And who were your top five?

A top quarterback won't be taken in the draft, as most people in the organization think Romo can shoulder the laod. A good veteran backup will more than likely be brought in however.

I do agree a big running back should be brought in to compete for Thompson's spot. Austin has taken over as the returner.

He ahs alot of the pieces of the puzzle walkin in the door, he will fix the D and put the playmakers in postion to make plays, and hope fully Garrett will be as good as they say in creating a creative offensive scheme...... Im still happy we will have a fresh approach on both sides of the ball..

Amen.

I think Wade is going to be just what the Boys needed - a fresh, enthusiastic, inspirational defense-minded expert on the 3-4. I think he has the personality and whatever else it takes to bring this team together and give it some focus. I think it's going to be fun to watch.

I also think Garrett will work well with him.

Life is good. :)
