I've seen multiple reports on twitter saying the refs screwed up the spot on Murray's big loss right before the TD. They are saying the refs gave us an additional two yards on the spot. Not sure I'm buying it - but I want to see it for myself.

Anybody got a video of it?

Who cares..whether the ball was at the 8 or 10 doesn't really matter.

Still a stupid, horrible, dumb run by Murray.

I remember thinking it should be spotted at the 12 (but I could be remembering wrong), but then it was on the10. Don't have video for you though.

With help from Romo, Murray got himself instant redemption on the next play.

I noticed that watching the highlights last night. Murray was definitely down outside the 10, more like the 12. It didn't really hit me until all narrators talked about converting from "4th and goal from the 10".

See some of our recent posts on the missed calls going on all over the league. Just par for the course these days.

If I recall correctly, I think the refs blew the play dead while we was still moving back. So that maybe where the discrepancy is.

The officiating in this league is awful. I used to bag on cfb-their refs are horrendous. The nfl is just as bad now.

I believe because contact was made at the 10, they say that was where his progress was stopped. And as was mentioned, the whistle may have blown the play dead.
Even though it seemed it should have been at the 12, as it looked like Murray was still running after contact at the 10. Unless they determined the defender caused that backwards start.

But what would have been the call, if Murray was able to escape that and get a gain, or even a TD. Just a thought.

I believe they spotted it where they decided forward progress had been stopped. I don't think forward progress things like this are anything new.

he was definitely down at the 12, not the 10. don't know why the refs spotted it there. don't know whether it would have made a difference for the winning play, though, either.

DeMarco must have been thinking he doesn't get enough touches so he will make something happen here although he was given the ball on the entire series.
I think the first drive of the 4th qtr (after going away from it AGAIN) showed Garrett/Callahan/Romo either finally bought into the philosophy of running or just flat out did it because of the criticism. I expect we run the ball a decent amount unless we get way down. I just wish Garrett would see how much better of a QB Romo is when the running game is being utilized. He is deadly when he goes to the PAP with the safeties moving the wrong way and the DL on their heels a little.

Yeah there was a possession I think it was when we got the field goal, after the first first down I believe we opened up with passing on 1st and 2nd, I was really thinking too myself here we go again getting away from the run, I think we got the first with the 1st. Down too Austin when Romo got hurt but we need too run 1st down at least most of the time too set up a good, 2 and 3, in other words more manageable.
