free agency starts at 12 am eastern, correct? My shrink switched my pills and i'm almost sure it does, but my memory isn't quite right...could someone that knows confirm that?

Don't bet on anyone suddenly signing at 12:02 Eastern. There might be a trade right away, but the signings probably won't start until Saturday morning, which gives players time to fly somewhere, maybe sleep a little, meet the coach, negotiate and sign the contract.

The NFL won't even notify teams about the official list of free agents until after midnight Eastern.

I would venture to say that most deals are already worked out. Just waiting for the year to start so they can be offically signed. There are some that really considering 2 or more teams ,, they will be doing the visits and such... but I am guessing that most FA are already locked up with their new team.
