Can someone explain the TV coverage this year?

In the past, I always knew, AFC team on road or two AFC teams, CBS. NFC team on the road or two NFC teams, Fox.

This year, tomorrow on US Thanksgiving, Chicago is playing Detroit on CBS. I have seen two AFC teams play each other on Fox, NFC teams on CBS etc.

What is going on?
