Can someone explain the week 17 rule about AFC games on Fox and NFC games on CBS?

I can't remember but I noticed the Chiefs/Raiders game is on FOX this sunday and Rams and Niners on CBS

is that the only week CBS and FOX televise games from the other conference?

The NFL threw in this new rule to have improve the balance between the 2 networks, especially in each time slot. It can happen earlier in the year.

ugh. No way. You might be romanticizing CBS because when CBS had the NFC, they were indeed great. But nowadays, Fox is clearly the superior network.

Better pregame show, better announcers (Joe Buck's idiocy is cancelled out by Phil Simms), more innovative, better production values, Coach Johnson.

But other than that, yeah they're mostly the same.
