Again, you like to create strawman.

Did I ever say the Eagles coaching isn't better than the Cowboys?
How do I explain those events? Well, the Eagles are a better team, with better coaches, and 2 QBs better than what Dallas has. It's not that difficult.
But you are also confusing the team success with player performance. We are talking about how the players (Dak and Wentz). Wentz played much better than Dak. Wentz had more injury issues on his team to deal with. Wentz was NOT surrounded by a lot more offensive talent. You are just making excuses because you don't want to admit the truth.

LOL, you're going to make that argument when discussing Dak...one of the most risk averse QBs in the league?

Eli? Mr. Mediocrity? Whose best year came when the Giants D was bad?

Iggles won the SB. Good for them.

Baltimore won the SB with Flacco, who had a fantastic post season that year. Have they won it again since? No.
New Orleans won the SB with Brees, who had a fantastic post season that year as well as numerous great years after. Have they won it since? No.
Jets won the SB with Namath. Have the won it since? No.

So what if the Iggles won the SB, some here act like it means they're the most solid team in the league, far above the Cowboys in talent and coaching.

Maybe they are, but one SB doesn't make a dynasty...

Ah, a strawman!!! You must pay attention better for understanding. Look at Giants D in playoffs in 11. Look closely and tell me what you see!!!!

What strawman? I'm not sure you understand what that term means.

What does the playoffs have to do with Eli's best regular season?

Must be another one looking at team success and not player performance.

The strawman thing is silly as hades and grossly overused in this thread. I was exaggerating to make that point!!!!

See, you're unwilling to look at this from a different perspective. You didn't even try!!!!!!

You made the claim of how awesome Eli was w/o a D. I countermanded that argument w/ the point that his D was shutdown in the playoffs. And you just completely ignored the point instead of addressing it!!!!! Weak stuff!!!!!!

Eli had a TD/INT ratio in 2011 of 29/16. Hardly dominant. He was better in the playoffs, although a D that allowed no team to score more than 21 points was the bigger factor by far. Bailed Eli out several times vs SF, along w/ Kyle Williams!!!

And in Eli's best regular season, he was just above average. Romo was better that year, as were several other Qb's.

Edit: Oh, and BTW. A strawman is a weak argument set up so it can be easily argued. That's definitely what you did!!!!

Yes, strawman are grossly overused. I wish some people here would stop using them. Your point was poorly made, if that was it.

What perspective is that? The nonsense perspective? I can't look at thing through an absurdity lens, I'm sorry.

I never made a claim of Eli being awesome (the opposite in fact - I called him Mr. Mediocrity). I said his best (not awesome) season was when he had a bad D. This is true. Your counter "argument" about the playoffs is completely irrelevant to how he performed DURING THE SEASON. What the hell would his D in the playoffs have to do with that? I am not suggesting his best season was because his team won a Superbowl. I was talking about his performance during the season. This isn't very complicated.

I never said he was dominant (reading is fundamental). Maybe it's a reading problem and not a strawman problem you guys are having?

Finally, something you said that makes sense.

*Sigh* A strawman is not a "weak" argument setup so it can be easily argued, it is an argument that was NOT MADE by the person you are arguing with so that you can argue that point and not what they said. And that is not at all what I did.

What you said is an exaggeration. Unless of course Dak actually has a noodle for an arm? I mean if you can show the medical reports that his arm is in fact,
Made of noodles then yes what you said isn’t exaggerated. If his arm is an actual human arm, than calling him a noodle arm is an exaggeration. A commonly used exaggeration in sports to criticize someone’s arm strength.

A strawman is a misrepresentation of somebody else’s argument.

    Exaggerating is misrepresenting something.

    Therefore, it was hypocritical behavior.

Noodle would be a metaphor, not an exaggeration.

I would suggest you get a better understanding of the meanings here.

A metaphor can also be used to exaggerate something. Unless you’re saying a noodle can literally throw a football as well as Dak’s arm can. If it can’t, then calling him a noodle arm is a metaphor that exaggerates his lack of arm strength.

Maybe you should get a better understanding of the fact you’re a hypocrite.

The vague references to Dak's race, one way or another, stop now. Being "subtle" isn't going to let you get away with starting a race debate in here

For everybody else, if you see a violation, report it. It's much faster for us to get to it that way, and it's got the added benefit you don't end up like you're questioning staff in a public post.
