My girlfriend was involved in an accident. she only had liability. she was at fault. this is what happened to her moms truck. how much do you guys think it'll cost me to repair this? will it be better to just replace the bed?? i know theres a lot of other things to consider ie the truck frame, the gas tank... but i just need to know more or less a repair like this will cost me (also i dont need a paint job bcus my cousin paints cars so he said he'll do it for free) Thanks!

Look for a used bed - they call them "pull off beds". That's going to be your cheapest option. Other option is just replacing the left side inner and outer panel, but the labor for removing and replacing the parts will probably be higher than a decent used bed.

The frame rail might be alright, because the hit was fairly high. I'm sure they're will be some slight frame time - runs about $70.00 an hour - I'd say about 3-4 hours, plus 2 hour set up time - which is about $40 an hour.

Gas tank is low, which should be fine, but plastic pieces for the filler cap area will need to be replaced.

Rough estimate is about $2500.00 - and with paint added in - probably closer to $3000.00

A few years ago, my buddy was hit in the rear by a jack knifing tractor trailer. Completely destroyed the bed. The frame and rear axle was not harmed. He found a frontend crashed truck at the junkyard and only paid $400.00 for the bed. Simply remove the bed bolts, the wiring to the tailend, and any brackets that may be attached. He was up and rolling in a few hours.

I need to find some parts for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma. The junkyards here only have one and it's been stripped. I need a dash, a skid plate, and a back bumper.
