While the odds may slightly favor one over the other, splitting regular season games over a divisional rival is not guaranteed to mean anything in the postseason. Football is never about tossing in the towel (unless you've already secured homefield for the playoffs, that is). The proper course of action would be to win the regular season game at all costs and attempt to do the same during the playoffs.

i won't be tossing any towels. i'm just a fan that doesn't want them to face the eagles 3 times. especially back to back. i know that's crazy...but i have crazed tendencies.

If Wade has the team MOTIVATED they can beat anyone 3 times because the talent is there. Unfortunately motivation has not been his strong point. A little motivation goes a long ways, just look at last week!

Considering we're probably going to have to win out to make the playoffs, we just have to deal with it.

I'd much rather be going into a potential playoff game with Philly having won 2 as opposed to having lost 2 like them.

If you stop DeSean Jackson you can beat the Eagles 3 times in a row.

i don't think so. very hard to win 3 times. we were the far better team in 2007 and still couldn't close out the 3rd against the giants.

I disagree, I think the 2009 team is/will be better than the 2007 team. That said, not easy beating a team 3 times in a season.

Ding ding ding.........we have a winner.

Or how about having gone 1-1 against them and now having to go to Philly in what I'm sure will be wonderful January weather.

The eagles in Philly or Dallas is the most likely matchup for us so get used to it and undersatnd a few thing.

We will beat them in the playoffs if we're the better team that day.

Having played and beaten them twice during the season will in no way have a negative impact. At best it could help us slightly by creating a certain amount of doubt in thier minds.

Losing the finale only to have to play in Philly will decrease our chances.

We are one of the best coached teams in the league. Why in the heck would you be concerned about Wade and the gang making adjustments? They have proven over and over their ability to adjust is unparalleled. Don't worry about the pesky little dirty birds.

If they're not motivated over a playoff game, its not the coach.

Beating them three times this year would be great revenge for the final game of last season.

OMT- Sack up!

I'm so tired of all the eagle fear on this board.
Oh no the big bad green boogieman is coming. "The eagles have our number".

Bull ****ing **** they do.

They won 7 in a row over us from late 1999 to 2002 when we sucked. Big deal. Who wasn't beating us then?

Since Parcells took over in 2003 we are 6-7 against them with one more home game to come.

That's almost 7 years since they've "had our number".

We are 3-2 against them since 2007.

And we did beat them on their home field just 2 months ago. Now they have to come to Dallas week 17.

They should be more worried about beating us back to back weeks.

Sonny - we have to beat the recent trend. Last 3 years, we won first game while they won second game and our offense went missing. But none of this matters if we don't beat the Skins.

We are Dallas, not Indianapolis. The Colts can afford to not go 100% during the next two games. The Cowboys cannot. To do otherwise is to toss in the towel. Hopefully, the team will not adopt that stance. If possible, some of the team's fans will not adopt that stance as well.

Any team can beat another team on any given Sunday, so teams play for any advantage they can get. Winning this week and next week equals a home game in the wild card round. That's a psychological advantage. It doesn't matter which opponent would end up traveling to Cowboys Stadium because of the first sentence in this paragraph.

I know the Giants would have to lose... But it wouldn't even matter to me if we lost at home the last game as long as we beat them at their place the next week. In fact, it might be even sweeter.

I just want to beat the Washington Commanders, and I want to beat them by 21.

I could see both Minnesota and NOLA going down early.
If we stay focused and win in Wash, then Favre throws an early pick Monday night in Chicago, it will get real interesting.

just because you lose doesn't mean you didn't go 100%.

I'm not going to post a smiley of it. Instead, I'll find a wall and beat my head against it.

though it won't be easy it's been done more times than not when teams have had the chance to do it.

19 times teams have had a chance to beat another team 3 times in one season and 12 times it was accomplished. the last team to do it was the Steelers over the Ravens last season.

Looking ahead a little on my part but, if we win out we'll have to play Philly the following week too in the playoffs.. tall order but if it comes down to that I think the boys can do it.

This is going to be a fun few weeks!!

Right now I'm more interested in winning two in a row. If they do then I'll be concerned about three.
