Can they do it 2 games in a row?

It seemed like the blue print prior to Sunday was keep Dak in the pocket and don't let his roll out game get started. So Sunday teams saw what happens when they stray from that game plan, so they will do what has worked before. What will Dallas do to counter that? This is where this team has struggled..mightily.

Linehan's history here is one of getting creative after a week of criticism over his play calling and then reverting back to ultra safe. However, I have a feeling he and the team might try to keep the ball rolling this time. We'll see.

I feel that Garrett/Linehan outsmart themselves. Please, hold your laughter.

When we find something that works, instead of us keep doing it until its stopped, they think "they are going to try and stop this, so lets do something different they aren't ready for"
And it backfires.

I've been saying this for years. Garrett is so focused on "outsmarting" the other team that they will design the worst schemes and call the worst plays at the worst times all in an effort to trick the other side.

"3rd and 10? Let's throw a horizontal pass for 1 yard and let our player get the other 9. They'll never expect that."

"1st and goal at the 3 with one of the best running backs in the league and a better than average offensive line? Let's throw it! They'll never expect that."

That's the thing though! Garrett has done that crap for so long that I think by now, other teams actually DO expect it!

And when the play fails, all the other team does is shake their head and thank Garrett for doing them a favor, yet again.

I guarantee you, we'd score a TD 95% of the time if Zeke had 3 runs starting at the 3 yard line

agree 100%

This upcoming game with the Skins should be a measuring stick as to what we are and possibly, what we will be in the games to come. Make no mistake about it, the Commanders are for real, both offensively and defensively. If the Cowboys take it to them on the road, we're looking a major turning point right in the face for the remainder of the season. If not, it's back to the drawing board. This really is a big game coming up, no question! (~adrenalin rush~) :) The Cowboys sorely need to capitalize on a good experience last week and continue to do what works. Let's make it happen, guys -- stay aggressive, by all means!

so far they are a 500 team until they start putting some win together don't have much faith in them not getting my hopes up or changing my expectations yet

No Kirk Cousins to get us a win this time as we have owned him. Alex Smith won't make mistakes and AD is playing great. As always, sadly this comes down to our offense which is getting old when you have the #1 RB in football at your disposal.......

The good thing is we've played really well at Washington of late. We are 4-0 against them in the Dak & Zeke era and we have won like 5 in a row at Fed Ex. Love him or hate him, Garrett has been a Commanders killer in recent games. Hopefully it continues on Sunday. 2-0 in the East would be great going into the bye.

Something has to give. Either we continue our winning streak at Fed Ex or we continue losing on the road. This game will go a long way towards telling us who this team is.

That is my question as well. Can we perform with that level of success in all phases? Our game plan was perfect and not based on the end result. More along the lines of calling plays that suited the strengths of Dak. We need to keep this up. Add wrinkles. When Prescott keeps on the option have him bootleg as if he were to do his normal QB keeper and throw it instead. I can see where Gathers could be of good use off of this. Teams will be on their heals all game. It also prevents Dak from being in the pocket longer than he needs to.

We seem to have Washington's number since 214 have been here. A win in DC and we'll be 5-3 going into Philly matchup on Veteran's Day, after we stomp Tennessee.

This game I think is gonna tell us a lot about what we are in store for this season. If we come out and win I think it catapults us into serious division threat. If we lose it's a big let down going into the bye and we might be in for another roller coaster finish. This team is talented enough to beat anyone lined up in front of them. We just need to show it on the field. This game is a big one. I'm pumped!

I think so too, as long as we keep allowing Dak to do what he does best. Linehan pulled out some stuff last week that I'm pretty sure took the Jags by surprise. I believe Linehan and JG need to "keep the pedal to the metal" in the passing game to make the most of Elliott's chances to maximize his considerable talent. The Jags didn't expect boldness and I'm reasonably sure that the 'Skins won't, either. It will be a grueling test, no doubt. ;)

Watch a lot of CFB in the booth, it's so easy from afar to SEE. What transpires throughout the game in those coaches headsets, baffle me endlessly. I think it's a simple trust issue, in play calling.

It must be rather easy being a coordinator at Bama.....cause that offense does fly here

Not just two in a row, but the first good road game of the season. This team looks completely different at home, which is odd given the history in Jerryworld. It's like we finally have a home field advantage.

But we need to win some road games, especially in the division. Not better place to do it than at Washington.
