The only tangible signs I've seen are these:

Free was deactivated on the majority of gamedays - even when Flozell was struggling with injury.

That shows me that they had absolutely no intention of Free playing LT in any way shape or form.

And McQuistan's one audition went so well that the team ran to the next available body they could find to fill the hole at LG.

From what I can see, the team doesn't consider either of these guys capable of playing and I'd like to see them look to replace either or both this offseason.

Well, that says something if Free was deactivated on gamedays. I didn't think to check that. Presumably we'd shift Davis and then fill at G?

Still, the team went from being high on him to complete silence. We did change OL coaches during that time, which might also play into the equation.

That's a good point.

3 of our OL are Free Agents. To me, that's a red flag.

Which 3, and how likely is it that they get re-signed?

He meant that is how we acquired them, as opposed to the draft.

Kosier, Davis & Columbo were all acquired as free agents. The entire O-line is under contract with Dallas at least through next year, maybe beyond. I think Kosier's deal is next to expire.

The law of averages should be about ready to catch up to the team by now. A great lineman is due to fall into our laps.

McQuistan
Berger
Proctor
Free

They all need to go, imo. They need to go now! Free should have some trade value for a finesse team. He's a finesse player.

Marten and Free were Jeff Irleland's picks, and they were mistakes. They came straight off the Bill Parcells' template. Look at Parcells' track record of drafting offensive linemen while in Dallas. Enough said. The Big Dolphin helped the franchise in many ways, but this wasn't one of them.

I would draft Jason Watkins with the second fourth rounder and replace Free. Watkins is physical. Free is finesse. He could be your future LT. Free isn't going to be that guy, imso.

McQ was not very good in replacement of Proctor. He has no lateral movement.

Neither should be on the roster next year.

I agree.

I think the change in line coaches was a huge factor.

Beyond the starters, I don't think the rest fit Houck's power-blocking style.

And to me that says you either keep Houck or you keep them - not both.

This year we start getting back on the right track.

C/G Eric Wood Louisville in the 2nd or 3rd. Wood and Holland give us two very good interior OL reserves. Wood pushes Gurode in practice, forcing Andre to improve his game or begin pulling splinters from his butt.

G George Bussey Louisville could be a steal in the 7th round.

Dallas Reynolds is versatile and could be a valuable asset to any OL. He can play all 5 positions.

OT Jose Valdez is graded out as a 7th rounder or UDFA. However, I feel he is a very good OT prospect.
