I was just watching Special Edition and apparently the Cowboys are honoring the Super Bowl XII and XXVII champions at half time... I would hope that our 'Boys wouldnt need any motivation after last weeks debacle, but this should give them a little boost.. What a game to be watching in person.... Are there any other zoners that are planning on going?

you do know that the last couple of times we put people in the Ring we lost right?

We lost the first game in our new stadium.

we lost the last game in our first stadium.

So not really feeling all that hopeful.

I doubt the players today care about those types of things. They'll give you a good soundbite that they do, but does it motivate them into a big performance? No.

Nothing motivates these players. They need to motivate themselves.

for certain teams it does. the teams that play with emotion like the ravens and steelers notice these types of things. our guys, not so much.

Agreed. Appears to have nothing to do w/ motivating recent Cowboys players/teams, among others.

Seems they will play how they will play, regardless. And that's sort of a shame, I think.
  • Free Team Poster Day for Fans in Attendance
  • ROH Induction Ceremony
  • Final Game at Texas Stadium
  • Inaugural Game at Cowboys Stadium
  • Honoring Past Cowboys Super Bowl Winning Teams
  • Fill-in-the-Blank Ceremony/Event
Does a particular extracurricular event (halftime or otherwise) make any more of a difference to our 'Boys — help/cause the team to get up for a game and deliver a Win — than another? Haven't seen where it has for a long while now, No.

About honoring our 35th & 20th Anniversary Cowboys SB XII and XXVII Winning Teams during our home opener: Look... just beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Handily would be good, but get the WIN. I'll be happy with the W, no matter what folks wanna attribute the victory to.

A Win would be particularly good for our past Cowboys SB-Winning Players/Coaches in attendance to get to see and enjoy, though. I'd especially like to see us get a W for them.

Well hopefully they honor those teams BEFORE the game and not after. Seldom do the Cowboys play inspired football when there's a special honor taking place. Like a fool Jerry had the closing celebration of Texas stadium after the Cowboys lost to the Ravens.

A lot of former players were paraded around the stadium in the dark it was like watching a funeral. The fans that stayed around showed no enthusiasm because everyone was so down by the loss. Jerry even apologized to the fans for the loss. That was one of the most depressing moments in Cowboys history.

The good news is the Boys played like it was a special night at Cowboys Stadium last week, so hopefully they got it out of their system and will come into tomorrow's game playing like the same team that beat the Giants.

It might not be Tampa...but the Cowboys will win another game then the board and the trolls and the negative people won't show up.

We don't live in a society of maturity and character anymore. I don't know if we ever did.
