Barr has been in contact with the Giants, don't know if he's going to be available for too long anyway.

I heard he had a visit with the Ravens but they signed Ronald Darby instead.

If he’s heathy he’s quality depth if nothing else . Thanks for update . The Pokes 7th rounder hasn’t exactly dazzled in pre season .

I hear Quinn wants to get Deion Jones. He drafted him in ATL. I don't know much more about him.

What vet linebackers are still on the street available? Might we sign Barr?
He's only 50 so too young to collect SS......Time to bring out the big gun......calling Coakley, calling Mr. Dexter Coakley. Cowboys on Line 3.

He is available. But he likely isnt what Dallas is looking for.

Barr is the perfect guy. Knows the coaches, knows the team, plays for cheap and is available.
maybe we need a guy like Van Noy. He has rings. Might stabilize the linebacker room.

NO

jabrill Cox just saved his job and we may need to go out and get a guy like is his name rashawn Evans he's still out there in the free agent market these guys are hybrid safeties that can spot duty in linebacker roles in the nickel and dime but they are not true linebackers overshown was a linebacker who can also be a hybrid safety but he was a linebacker first and foremost and that was a big loss and no these safety only players are not going to be able to do the same thing I don't care how genius Dan Quinn is he's not gonna turn those two players into what we have in Kearse or DONO.. Overshown with a perfect fit for what this team does at linebacker and can play in occasional safety it's what jabril Cox was drafted to do and has not but jabril Cox just saved his job with that injury but if we want a real linebacker I think we need to go pick one up off the free agent market or during cut week before the season starts... Again stop underrating what some of these guys can do and what overrating what Dan Quinn can do not everybody can do that..

Rashawn Evans probably the best name out there right now or we wait till cut down before week one and get that but now these two dudes are pure safeties they cannot do what Kearse and Donovan Wilson does or what Overshown could have done..

Cox saved his job for now//

He was terrible last year though, he has no legs left.

It's pretty thin at LB on the UFA market. Maybe they like someone like Jon Bostic or Jarrad Davis just for a veteran presence and go in and not screw things up, but you're not going to get someone you want starting many games at this point.

That’s the big conundrum with this. A majority of people are treating Overshown going out like losing LVE or Clark.

So, you’re going to need a guy to fill special teams snaps and play limited packages and roles.

That is why I don’t see them going for a name like Van Noy, Evans etc.

I only mention Barr, as he knows the system.

The team likely continues with Harper and Cox.

If they haven't brought anybody in, I don't think they will, at this point.

It's easy to find a ST guy at cutdown, but my concern is that they don't have anyone dependable to simply be in the right spot all the time. I don't think Clark was particularly good at that last year, and we don't really know what Cox and Harper are in that regard.

Barr was terrible last year. Might as well try cox or harper.
You do realize how bad jabril Cox had to be then to hardly see the field and Anthony Barr played more?? hmm

I mean you're saying he was terrible that means Cox was underneath the dumpster he's that trash that never made it in the dumpster that fell behind the dumpster when it got dumped I mean that's what we're saying that means bar was better I mean if you look at Dan Quinn used bar more than he used cox,

that means bar would be a nice addition even if he's not great I believe Barr at least like people saying are comfortable with the defense he has veteran presence..
