Waters out for the year is devastating..

Hate to see travis move from center..but a healthy costa could fill in at center.

or on the flip...can costa play guard?

I wonder if Bernadeau is better at center, he seemed to play better at that spot last season.

Did you guys see when D-Ware was coaching up Parnell on the sidelines? I can't remember if that was before or after Waters got injured. Could it be he was preparing for the possibility of going in with Free sliding to RG? I know that might seem like a reach...

No reason to slide Fred over, he is our Center and will be for years to come. He is a rookie and needs all the reps he can get there. Look at what happened to Free by moving him around.

I'd hate to move a rookie who is playing solid at his current position, but I do think our best combination for the OL is to have Fred at G and Costa at C. Hell, maybe even Berny at center. I think he played better there last year than he has played at G. Berny at G = Romo under duress all game long.

It's too far into the season to be moving Frederick or Free. They just have to play Berny and hope Frederick and Free can make him better.

I liked you just for the sig.

Much respect.

Respect to Garry Owen.

Respect to our troops.

I don't care what administration we are under.

I don't care. We have good men doing things everyday that we should appreciate.

Things more important than football.

I wish I could like over and over.

Moving Free to G has pros and cons. He's one of the better RTs in the league. One of the better tackles period. G is a major change for him. OTOH, he may be a better G than Bernie. Which ever is the better solution needs to be done to make the whole of the OL the best five out there.

We have seen Free at G with Parnell at RT. I think this is the best move because, while Free is the better RT, Tony does better with pressure from the right side then he does with interior pressure.

No costa at center puhleeze! Are you kidding me? The number of times he is picked up like rag doll and thrown at Romo is ridiculous. He lived in Romo's lap. The worst kind of pressure is straight up the middle and thats Costas trademark. There is no pocket with Costa at center!

We keep Fred at Center! Pray Bernie can at least hold the fort at RG. You dont start moving around multiple people on your OL in game 9 of the season. You do that crap in preseason and its bad enough but not in Game 9. You just create more problems. Bernie started the season for us at RG. He was expected to be the starter all year for petes sake. THATS who our RG should be with Waters down.

I wonder if they have tried Parnell at right guard? Athletically he compares pretty well with Chis Long who has been pretty good for Chicago.

Frederick is a center. He tried to play guard to try it out in practice and preseason and he wasn't good there. He needs to stay right where he is.

I'd be shocked if Frederick was moved from C to G. Along with Free, he's been our most obvious improvement on the OL this year. You don't mess with that. Bernie is slated to do duty at RG. It's surely not ideal but it's reality.

We have seen Free at G with Parnell at RT. I think this is the best move because, while Free is the better RT, Tony does better with pressure from the right side then he does with interior pressure.

I would like to see Parnell in the lineup. He'll make a few mistakes due to lack of game experience, but he has the ability to really blow people off the ball in the running game. He didn't play much during preseason due to a hamstring issue, but when he did he was driving defenders 5+ yards down-field.

Free was the culprit in more than 1 failed run attempt against the Lions.

They have modified the OL scheme to help Free this season. They have the RG keep a closer than normal spacing to Free off the snap. This prevents the DE from beating Free to the inside and allows Free to over-set to the outside. This requires the Center to help the RG much more often than the LG. It increases the degree of difficulty on LG Leary and LT Smith because they're isolated. The result is that people believe that Free is playing great and that Smith and Leary are struggling.

Why move a guy to Guard who has been so good for us at center. Leave him be. What if we move him and it some how screws up what we had? No thanks
