Can we beat Atlanta?

I know the obvious answer is "yes", just on the any given Sunday logic.

I'm asking in more general terms. Do the masses feel like we have a legit shot against the Falcons.

I haven't seen them play much, but they seem to be pretty darn good from what I have seen.

I think having two weeks helps because we'll get some injuries healed up (hopefully Roy and FJ will return). I don't think it'll matter that we have two weeks to prepare for them from a coaching stand point, because I think our coaches (Wade) just aren't very good.

So.... will we beat Atlanta?

I think the fact that we will be comming off a bye, we will be at home, and will be much more healthy then we were the last two weeks means we have a pretty good shot.

By following the roundabout argument some on here like to use on Sundays: We should've beaten a team in Denver that beat a team in New England that Atlanta wasn't even competitive against 2 weeks prior

On a more serious note, I don't know why any Cowboys fan would be so frail-hearted to not think we can win any game with the talent we field.

Theogt said it best in a post yesterday: this team can beat the best teams in the league and lose to the worst. I don't fear any team in the league if you match us up against them. We almost beat the Giants with a -4 TO ratio so I think we can beat Atlanta.

Now, if we work our butts off during the bye, get Felix back healthy and Miles and Roy fully incorporated in the passing game, along with the defense working on their Archiles heal (pass rush and focus during the 2 minute defense), then I think we can win the game convincingly and start a streak.

The real question is, will the Cowboys beat themselves. My sources say yes. Double digit penalties and turnovers will do them in.

This team can beat Atlanta if they show up to play disciplined football.However if they show up and commit 13 penalties and two turnovers along with going 0-2 in the redzone they will be in trouble.

We can most certainly but we've got to play a much sharper game from start to finish mentally and everything. We can do it, I believe we will do it, but its going to be one of the tougher games at this point.

The Cowboys just need to play a complete game, on all sides of the ball, and limit the penalties.

It shouldn't blow your mind. Our defense is terrible. The Falcons quite possibly have the league's best talent at the offensive skill positions and average something like 27 points a game. Unless our defense puts forth a big-time effort, we are sunk.

If we prepare like we have the last several games and keep committing penalties and making mistakes, absolutely not. This team's preparation is horrible and needs to be fixed.
