Not gonna happen. Broncos will go 15-1 this season and win the Super Bowl. Cowboys will do what they do...

Of course the Cowboys can win, but the chances are slim.
A few lucky breaks, some timely turnovers, mistake free football would give us at least a fighting chance.

Manning could get injured, drop back for a pass, plant and pop an Achilles or twist a knee, lineman falls on his foot and gets a lisfranc injury, stranger things have happened. All it takes is one freak play or mis-step and all the stats, records and predictions go right out the window.

I also think because of how great Manning is, their defense gets overlooked. They have a pretty good defense too. Garrett better preach all three phases while stacking days.

Sad that it takes some crazy stuff to give the Cowboys any chance at winning. I see the Broncos and i get envious. Cowboy fans are fearing the Broncos coming into town. It has been a long time since the Cowboys were feared like that.

I am considering not watching the game and doing something family related because it might be too frustrating to watch Manning go up and down the field while the defense watches helplessly. Seeing my guys, Lee and Carter get abused because this scheme hangs them out to dry. Doesn’t sound like fun to me.

The flip side is that the Cowboys might play hard. Make the game closer than most thought it would be and i’ll have to hear about moral victories. Read about parity and lowering expectations while Bronco fans enjoy watching their team steam roll through the league. If by some change the Boys do win, you know they won’t maintain that level of play. It is what it is.

We won't win this game, but we will make it close and respectable, it will give this team the confidence and swagger they need to know they can play with anyone..... Then they go on a run after this.... I'd say 31-27 we lose but we go on to win 3 or 4 in a row after this.... (Not a typo, I said 3 or 4 in a row)

My contacts are out. Did you really mean 3 or 4 games in a row or we have 3 or 4 good plays in a row? Haha.

I calculated my stats for the first time on Tuesday. Den has a pythagorean expectation of 88.4%. Dallas has a pythagorean of 64.7%. Figuring in the effects of a 3 point HFA, and treating Pythagorean probabilities as "simple" (transitive) probabilities, that works out to a 27% chance for Dallas to win.

D-

I came up with 28% when I did it. i think you probably have a rounding error somewhere. You might want to check your math.

I think the chances of us beating the Broncos is FAR better than us winning 3 or 4 in a row. I mean that. Getting up for the occasional big game is not this team's problem, staying up is.

Gotta look at it this way, every game is 50/50, there are so many unknown factors that can impact the the outcome of a game and nothing is for certian. I am going to hope the Boys win weekend, going to be my first game at the stadium

I don't expect the Boys to win as a matter a fact I think its gonna get down right ugly. I still back my Boys up no matter what. At least it's a non conference game.

Manning is going to do what he does. We CAN win, but a lot of that will be predicated on whether our offense can put points on the board. No matter how well our defense plays, we won't win the game if the offense doesn't put more than 2 TDs on the board. Manning is going to score. The question is, "After the defense does what it can to limit him, can we outscore Manning?"

it's simple, the team just needs to make sure that Denver has more kick-off returns as us (minimally by a few)

no conceding here

If they come out with the same type of game plans they used against San Diego and Kansas City then it could get embarrassing. Dallas has to take more deep shots in the passing game and convert more on third down to keep the Denver offense off the field.

We are getting blasted. Time of possession will once again be the story. Oh, and the score will as well. Denver's record setting pace will get a boost. 40 something to 20 something.

We will be down 14-zip like we always are and playing catchup the whole game.

Our offense is not capable of keeping up in a game like this.

Manning will pick us apart.

Only chance is if the offense can slow the game down and dominate time of possession and keep Manning on the sideline.

Good luck with that.

Yes, we can. This is not to say we will but we certainly can. Denver is not a great defensive team. They don't defend the Pass all that well statistically and they only run the ball about middle of the road. This might be because they pass the ball so well but if you can force them into having to run in Red Down situations or 3rd downs, they will struggle with that. Moreno does have a history of fumbling and Manning is due for a few INTs. We have the personnel to score with them, so long as we play a well called game and don't become one dimensional. I am not convinced that their OL can stop our pass rushers so if we can get pressure, that changes the game significantly. Shortens up the pass routes and then it becomes a matter of tackling well in the open field. No YAC. Turnovers are the ultimate statistic in the NFL. If we take care of the ball and do the things we need to, in order to score TDs as opposed to FGs, if we play good defense, yes, we can win.

Now, as I said earlier, CAN win and WILL win are two different things.
