Or half a game? Do the ole Landry thing where you play two QB's. Maybe let Orton start the first half and let Romo play the second half? I know its silly but all these turnovers are killing us. But its not Romo's fault.

Yes it is, he's the QB, if he has to stay after practice till midnight with the receivers then get it done. He's not a babe anymore he's a seasoned vet. It falls on him..

If we are down by 21 again at the half with 3 picks will Garrett finally pull the plug? I'm going to set the Over/Under at 4 picks and a 24 point deficit as to why Romo finally gets benched. At some point you have to bench the guy even if its just one game. Maybe that's all it would take to get EVERYBODY on point. You gotta start at the top and it falls on Romo...

How much do you think it will take?:

Jaso Garrett knows that Romo is his only chance of winning. No rushing game, pourous offensive line, stupid recievers. Lets bench the only real chance we have of scoring points. BRILLIANT.

You know... Kinda off topic... but I wish they would let Orton play a whole game, so the fools who want Orton and think our OL is good can see just how bad it really is.

I think once you lift a QB like that then you may as well trade him or get rid of him. I don't see where that has worked well in the past with any team including Dallas when Landry did it.

Seriously, why would Jason Garrett expose his own ineptness?

It's already been exposed.

At least this would put the ineptness full as the sun even to the Garrett homers... at least I hope so.. this team would be so utterly boring to watch, with max protection, attempting to run the ball, with a bunch of underneath patterns which result in multiple 3 and outs of sheer boredom. at when Romo is running a series of 3 and outs, he runs around avoiding rushes for more than 3 seconds to make it somewhat more interesting

and if we did what OP says and Orton wins, full fledged QB controversy and it just gets worse....

True and the media would have a field day. Either a team believes in their QB or they don't. Has things gotten off to a rough start for him? yes but looking at overall production from Romo that has not been the case.

My dad always asks, "Why can't you bring in the backup just like you would a relief pitcher in baseball? If the guy doesn't have it that day, take him out."

What he doesn't get because he never played is how much leadership goes with the position. This isn't like a position player -- the QB is the leader of your team. Start yanking him when things go a little south and pretty soon the other players will know the coach doesn't believe in him. And then you'll have no QB at all.

If I'm dumb then what does that make the rest of you?

Insane???

Yes let's keep trying the same ole thing over and over hoping for better results... Insanity...

Heck I'm not even saying to bench the guy for the whole season just one freaken game. You gotta send a message to the rest of the troops and it starts at the top...

How many years have we been trying to win with this turn over machine and all we get is the same results? 7 years now? Dude at some point you gotta try something different or at least shake it up a bit even if its just One measley game...:choke:

It is not major league baseball, the repercussions lifting a starting QB can create a bigger mess. If Cowboys feel this all Romo fault then get rid of him but I don't think the coaches feel this is all Romo.

If Orton wins you keep the hot hand. Oh God forbid somebody actually won a game and King Romo is no longer king...:bang2::bang2::bang2:

You people have put Romo above the team and above winning the game, its very clear now....

Its fans like you folks that have enabled Jerry to continue the charade of mediocrity...

Agenda revealed...didn't take too long.

There are about 20 guys you would need to bench before you got to Romo. You start with the worst, not the best.

Yeah let's bench him

Might as well bring lunch and dinner to the game and have a picnic. That will be the only thing fun about the game(for the players)
