We will clinch the East with a win but can we clinch a First round bye with a win and a Packer loss?

Can't seem to get a handle on that.

As good as I am with numbers, I would say yes.

We have one game lead to the packers
Add one game for the tie breaker, as we beat them.

With a win and a packers loss, we will have a two game advantage with 3 to go, but if you add the game of the tiebreaker, that will do.

Are you sure? whats their record?

8-4. We need either two wins, or one win and losses by both them.

the packers we need to win two games, and have them lose 1. to lock up HFA

Yeah, if we and them win, the difference will still be 3 games with 3 to go... so We ll need another win to win the bye.

Its possible. Not sure who Seattle and TB are playing. But they can lose a game. So its very possible. Just the probablity is lower then next week.

No it's not.

Even when we win this weekend and if GB loses to Oakland, the season could still finish with Dallas @ 12-4 and GB @ 13-3 should Dallas lose their final 3 games and GB winning their final 3 games after this weekend. Not that I think it will happen, but that is a possibility.

The only thing that we can do this weekend is clinch the NFC East title with a win. Then the best the Giants can do is match our record at the end of the season if we lose the final 3 and they win out but we would have the tie-breaker so therefore get the East.

you do know that the top two teams get a bye week the first week right?

if Seattle and Tampa bay loses, and wwe win, then GB can finish 14-2, we can finsih 12-4, and then those two would finish 11-5. So Dallas and G would get the bye week.

Sometimes you people should read, before talking.
