Can we clone Everson Walls?

Everson Wall was a great CB for the Cowboys and he always looked for the ball unlike some of our current CBs.

The greats actually turn their head and play on the ball.Even today with Revis,Champ,etc... But Everson Was the king of stealing the ball.

It wouldn't matter if we drafted two clones of Everson Walls, once they get here our DB coaches will teach them not to play the ball, to play 10 yards off the WR, trail behind him and tackle him once he catches the ball. Oh and instead of making a play on the ball, try to strangle him!

None of the CB on today's team would make it on those teams. Not the way they play CB.

ballhawk!! can we draft a couple of them

We didn't in 1981, he was a RFA. That still blows my mind, how the **** did that happen? 11 Ints as a rookie and he wasn't even selected in a 12 round draft!

You mean, the guy who played like Alan Ball on "The Fluke?"

Let's clone Cornell Green or Mel Renfro instead.

Everson is likely too slow to play well today with the current rules prohibiting contact after five yards.

Walls was amazing.

But some of those INT's in the video would have been flagged for interference in today's NFL. The fact that he laid a finger on the WR would have resulted in a penalty today.

That's why even in today's pass happy league, INT's have not increased dramatically. The officials and the rules committee have pretty much handcuffed the DB's.

Only if there's no chance we play the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.

Why? Even Deion couldn't have defensed "The Catch." That was just an awesome play. No corner would have been able to cover that play.

green bay has 22 ints this season explain that.

Pro scouts thought he was too slow for the NFL after he ran the 40-yard dash in a disappointing 4.72 seconds during workouts. Eventually, however, his hometown Cowboys signed him as an undrafted free agent, and he made an immediate impact, leading the league in interceptions with 11 during his rookie season.
