Need both Seattle and Arizona to lose next week and we're the 2 seed no matter what our outcome is.

I'll be surprised if Arizona wins next week. Teams struggle the week after playing Seattle, and the Cardinals' QB situation is obviously a mess. Granted, San Fran is a ticking time bomb itself.

Can't imagine St. Louis beating a motivated Seattle team on their turf.

Feel good about Arizona losing even though they are playing the Niners. Seattle is going to be tough mainly due to the fact that Jeff Fisher for some reason loves starting Shaun Hill at QB and it's in Seattle. If Fisher comes to his senses and puts in Austin Davis then they may have a shot at winning.

Here are some ways that Dallas can get a first-round bye

1. The Seahawks and the Cardinals both lose.

2. The Cowboys win and the Seahawks lose or tie and the Cardinals lose or tie

3. The Cowboys tie and the Seahawks tie and the Cardinals lose or tie and the Lions and the Packers does not end in a tie.

4. The Cowboys win and the Lions and the Packers game ends in a tie

Hmm, more than one scenario in which our game next week matters. Too bad they all involve ties. Too bad this isn't soccer...

I'm a rooting for a tie next week

I fully expect a tie next week

Said no person ever in the history of football. Lol :) but imagine if that actually happened? The stars would truly have to be aligned for that to happen. I wonder if a tie late in the season has actually ever determined playoff positioning. I'm going to assume no. Would be really cool though!

Hmm, interesting historical question. Maybe, they didn't always have overtime did they?

Our game is meaningless...................if both Seattle and Arizona lose next week, then we get the #2 seed...................ignoring a tie, all other scenarios have us with the number #3 seed.

Arizona is playing the 49ers and Seattle is playing the Rams.................don't see both teams losing, especially Seattle losing at home to the Rams....................we will be the #3 seed and play the loser of Detroit/Green Bay in the 1st round.

Losing to Colt McCoy probably costed us homefield..............excuse me while I go throw up.

We're a long shot. 49ers must beat the Cards ... which is possible, but we also need the Rams to beat the C-Hoks. You can kiss the second scenario good bye.

Regardless, we go into DC with all guns blazing, and beat the lights out of the Deadskins.
