Legion of Doom or Legion of Doomsday. Either works..
it takes talent. and that talent comes through the draft. we haven't drafted well defensively. we may end up better defense than with Nolan, where all the players were confused most of the time. we may end up a bend but don't break defense if we can't address the front 4.Now that we have Dan Quinn one of the engineers from the dominate Legion Of Boom Defensive patrol , what would it take for us to have our own version of the Legion of Boom Defense ?
what positions and elements are we still missing to eventually make our case for a Legion of Boom
Defense ?
Dallas? Legion of Boom defense? Pfff.... pfff.... BAHAHAHAHA . Ain’t no WAY. Only in Jerry’s most promiscuous dreams will that ever happen. Our players wouldn’t even belong on the bench the Legion of Boom sat on. Nothing will make our defense “Legion of Boom” unless you put an actual bomb on field.
If Quinn can get the Cowboys to draft a defense anything similar to what he had in Seattle or Atlanta, along with the offense we have..... Well despite Jerruh we might just make some noise
4 of the 7 from the 2020 draft class were defensive players. Most of the FAs, albeit none of them hit really, were defensive players.Does anyone really think Dallas is willing to put in the amount of work it takes to create a dominant defense? It won't be the sexy draft to focus on defense, it won't be to help his 40 million dollar QB stay clean in the pocket or score TD's to be watched by millions.

I hope this is true... I will believe it when I see it.McClay, Jerry, and Stephen saw first hand this season how badly this FO overrated their personnel on defense.
Better believe the biggest off-season priority is to surround Quinn with guys that can play ball.
we need a 4t de that’s 300+ lbs to play strong side 2 gap.
we need at 1t to play both A gaps.
we need a rangey FS
How we are close:
I think this hire makes Earl Thomas an option in FA...
I think Trevon Diggs fits the mold of that prototypical Seattle CB from those teams.
We have some good rushers off the edge.
Maybes:
How does Neville Gallimore progress?
Does Trysten Hill come back healthy and continue to progress?
Can LVE get back to form?
Big issues:
Second and third CB.
Safeties.
LB.
Cover 1 and 3 were the primary defenses used... nothing fancy but it takes talent. I don't know if we have it on this defense.
I'd be worried about the LB position almost as much as the interior DL. If Quinn's defense is similarly "simple" enough that both LVE and Jaylon get back to being good, that would help. Otherwise, Dallas is in trouble.RDE – Gregory
3 tech – Hill (Gallimore)
1 tech - ??
LDE – Dlaw
WLB - LVE
MLB – Jaylon
SLB - ??
LCB – Diggs
SS - Wilson
FS - ??
RCB - Brown
Quinn has to deliver us a strong run defense. Something even Marinelli nor Nolan were able to do .
And our greatest weakness is easily our interior DTs, .. I’m letting Hill vs Gallimore battle it out for 3 tech, while I acquire me a top notch 1 tech or two.
Something is gonna have to be done about Jaylon – I still see him as a liability in any scheme.
Will Quinn return Jaylon back to middle LB and move LVE back to OLB ?
I'm not for re-signing Aldon Smith to a big contract - who totally flamed out early and left a question about motor and effort

Then of course there's the CB's, where Dallas has..Diggs? They might bring Chido back on a similar to Brown cheap deal, maybe a one year prove it type. Then what? Maybe a rookie in Surtain/Farley, sure. The depth looks questionable there as well.
That's not even considering Wilson possibly being a flash in the pan, or the non-existent FS Dallas has either. Maybe the Robinson experiment plays out over the next few years, but if not?
The D in Dallas is in some serious turmoil, there's going to need to be some amazing hits in the draft AND free agency to keep them from being bottom 5 again.
