Dang.

How'd we lose that game? :muttley::muttley::muttley::muttley:
I saw you at the Sheagles vs Commanders game. You looked scared there for most of the game.

Without McCaffey 49ers would just be good. Talk about a great trade. Instant reward just add water.

I know they have good WRs but the fact we are not talking about them says something about how good that trade was.
Man. That CMAC trade might go down as one of the best trades ever for the 49ers. I no this is wishful thinking but man I would love to see what Indy wants for Jon Taylor. It’s a pipe dream but think JT would be a beast in this offense.

The Cowboys D during the 2022 season playoffs loss at the 49ers held McCaffrey to 35 rushing yards on 10 carries. No reason to believe a better and improved Cowboys D in 2023 can't do it again.

Wasn’t CMac banged up or just getting through some injury last season in that playoff game? I can’t recall and don’t feel like searching for the answer.

Should be a good game and barometer for both teams, but we won’t get any trophies if we win and we won’t be eliminated from the playoffs if we lose. I’d like to see all 5 OL healthy against a great DL and see if we can hold our own. I also want to see us commit to the run inside the 5 and stop playing it scared or acting like we need to fool the other team. Sack up play caller.

Excited to see the game

We let a bunch of hooligans from the Cardinals (aka Dobbs, Conner, and Moore…basically their entire offense) run all on us so stopping CMC would be as likely as me winning the lottery
Conversely, we totally shutdown Barkley and Hall, so ...

That’s because Barkley and Hall are the offense. Zach Wilson and Danny Dimes are not to be feared. Stop the run/RB, win the game. Simple as that.

It’s not that simple with running/scrambling/mobile QBs (Cardinals) or QB’s with receiving options (Purdy). Purdy has Aiyuk, Kittle, Deebo, amongst other unknowns that will have record days when they play us. Shut down CMC, Purdy will win it through the air. Shut down Purdy, CMC will carve us up. To me— it appears that we will need to rely on any inside information Trey Lance holds that gives us even the slightest of advantages cause this team will need all the help they can get to defeat this team. It may even take an act of god to do so.

If we can we have a great shot to win.

SF is not as good on defense. They lost 5 defensive contributors in FA. They brought in DL help but the back 7 has taken a step back. It won't be easy but it will be easier to score.

The game has the feel of one where the first team to 20 points is going to win. The problem is that SF is going to get there too easily if we cannot stop the stretch.
Blimey! The lad runs up the middle, off right tackle and shows speed and timing on those swing passes from Purdy to McCaffrey.

I think Quinn will have our guys prepared.

They will be motivated after the Cardinal game.

We shut down Belicheat’s run game. We can slow down the Whiners run game.

49ers are like a way stronger version of the Cardinals. Strong, fast, and physical. They’re not like the Bills or Chiefs who have other strong suits. We fall flat against strong, fast, and physical almost 100% of the time. It’s why we lost against them for the last 2 years. Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, CMC? We don’t have the players to stop that.

Bosa alone is enough to stop this putrid offense.
Thumps down clueless take!

The front seven need to smoke Purdy into the fetal position.

Has to be a balance, can't do 3 and outs and leave the defense sitting out there all day long, they won't contain him.

Purdy is the problem. If this vaunted defense does not hit, harass, or get to Purdy, the rest is moot.

They can't shut down McCaffery. He has gotten better being in the system a year. Purdy has also gotten better and it was Kittle that beat the Cowboys. I think this will be a slug fest and I hate to beat a dead horse but its going to be won or lost depending on the Dallas passing game. The QB has to play well or the lose.

I think we can as we did well at it last year, but we are going to have to play more 1v1 on the outside without Diggs and stack the box.

I still think its the best option, instead of letting McCaffrey run allover us, but it has the potential to backfire unless we get to Purdy.
