Can we talk about Terence Steele?

We had issues running left without Smith v2. Whenever we needed push to run effectively Martin and Steele provided.

Steel along with Diggs are a good sign of the club's culture. Both got paid and both stepped up their play.
They ran right mostly because literally every time they did Zack and Steele got movement and the back got yardage. I am having a hard time remembering any negative plays to their side.

Man if this o line can stay healthy. It would be huge for our success this season
I agree, but so far we didn't even make it to week 1 healthy!!!
Was so happy to see Edoga instead of one of the rooks. I was worried that since he played pretty much tackle exclusively in the offseason and was injured that we wouldn't make him the first OL off the bench at both OG and OT. Was very happy we did. I don't think he was 100% yet and should get better. I think he gave up a few pressures but that's a tough DT group. You could see how Lawrence just manhandled Biadasz on one play

Yep… and Tyler Smith is going to make a big difference when he’s in there. He’s a bully and one of the strongest players in the league. He’s going to be dominant and defensive guys are going to hate seeing him coming.
There is current depth to carry both guards...we'll see from there. First good show as a unit together.

If we can keep the oline healthy the offense will thrive. Not pile up stats but effectively manage the games. If you can run effectively the passing game is more powerful. If the passing game is getting those big chunks it’s easier to run. It’s always about the oline because they control how effective the offense can be

I freely admit I was and am skeptical about this offensive line. Tyron Smith has a history of several years not playing all the games in a season. I reserve the right to not jump on his bandwagon just yet. When Tyler Smith comes back, and IF Tyron stays healthy, this line could be good. Not certain last night was a real test.

I did state all through the off season I doubted the team could count on anything from Steele. I stand here today suggesting I might be wrong. But again, that was a poor team not executing last night for the Giants. But from what Steele displayed, that is a growed up man and an asset this team has secured for several years to come.

I'll be back when I am wrong about this line. Smite the Jets and send them back to NY with an L while the Dallas offense prospers, and that will go a long way to changing my mind and saying I was wrong.

One thing in this game that excites me was on the drive when first and goal from the 5, we ran on first and second down. That show’s confidence in the oline and one reason Moore is not here anymore

This is probably always going to be the case though. That might be the best run-blocking right side in football.

Funny, I heard he was washed

Not from this guy. When he plays he’s still top notch, just gets hurt too much. A lot of of people were saying he was washed up after whay parsons was doing to him in training camp, parsons did the same to Steele in 2022. Man once we get Tyler back this line could be for real

Even Collingsworth was commenting on how when Tyron charges downfield opponents are scared to death to get in his way still

Steele is gonna be a Pro Bowler - i'm betting this year.

He only allowed one sack ( to Detroit stud DE Hutchison) and only 20 pressures in 439 pass block sets
before he went ACL on IR.

Apparently per his new big, long term contract the club seems to really love Steele.
Stellar on field performance, infectious work ethic, physical tools, consistency across the board, high character.

They seem to believe he is already one of the better RTs in the entire NFL, a fixture All pro/Pro Bowler
and quickly locked him up permanently. No beating around the bush.

After his dreadful rookie year, I admit I was one of many that was ready to for Lael Collins to
return and move on from Steele.

Boy.. was I wrong !!! ... Big time !! I never have to worry about the pass rusher vs Steele. Not even if its
Nick Bosa, Reddick, Von Miller or Myles Garrett.

that's a good way to define what Mike McCarthy's doing versus what Kelly Moore would have done in this game.. Kellen Moore seemed to have an ego and take pride in running up passing yards no matter what the score was he'd be tossing that all over the field... You literally need to have a game plan and then adjust your game plan to situational flow of the football game... Mike McCarthy did a good job of that on the road in weather with a big lead and it's tempting to wanna just throw the ball all over those rookie DB's back there but he showed a lot of restraint that Kellen Moore would not have... Kelly Moore would have put the ball at risk I'm not calling him a bad OC but that's the difference between a seasoned head coach calling plays and the guy who just wants to be impressive he's more of a passing game coordinator in my opinion...
